Wailea Beach Marriott Reviews

The Wailea Beach Marriott has completed a multi-million dollar renovation. This hotel is a very nice facility. Located in the exclusive South Maui area of Wailea, the Marriott Maui is ocean-front. While the beach directly in front of the hotel is “OK”- the best beach on Maui, “Big Beach” is less than 10 minutes away. The Maui Marriott Wailea Beach has 3 pools, 2 jacuzzi tubs, 2 restaurants and a lounge. No tennis or golf on facility, but the Wailea Golf courses are available a couple blocks away. This Hotel truly has the feel of a resort, with it’s 22 acres of lush landscaped gardens. The Maui Marriott Wailea Beach is a decent choice for a reasonably priced, deluxe hotel in the Wailea area.

524 Rooms, 3 Floor buildings, 5 Pools, Jacuzzi, Lighted Tennis Court, Day Spa, Fitness Center, 3 Restaurants, Lounges, Poolside Service

"We had a very long, tedious and exhausting check-in, even though I had confirmed our reservations and accommodations several times before we arrived. The floor had a very slippery substance on it which made it impossible to walk on, it took over 3 hours to get a room change. We were moved to the very edge of the hotel near the service maintenance and service elevators that were very noisy and had an odd smell coming from this location. The shower curtains had mildew on them, the sink leaked, the iron was broke, the beds were very low to the floor, and the mattress was squeaky and uncomfortable. The Hotel is not on the beach, you have to walk to the adjacent hotel to get to the beach. The front of the hotel is rocks and cliffs which are very dangerous. We encountered one problem after another, with food being offered as a remedy and the food was substandard. Stay away from the Wailea Beach Marriott the white tile floors are slippery, the beds are uncomfortable, and we were ripped off to the tune of $208.00 for a Lula which could have been bought at COSTCO for under $50.00, and to add insult to injury, we were seated all the way to the back of the Lula." – Edward and Sharon from Los Angeles, California

"For the price we paid, I expected more. Our room was ocean front, but it was on the lowest level which we didnt like. We asked to be moved up, but they would have had to move us completely to the other side of the hotel, which I still don’t believe. No one was in several rooms above us. We didn’t like the tile floors and we thought the room was fairly small. The bathroom was boring and small. Not enough hooks or towel bars to hang items. We were supposed to get an anniversary gift that never arrived. The pool bar restaurant was OK – don’t order the nachos. . .youll get nachos that look like you made them at home with melted Velveeta cheese. The hotel staff was friendly, but again, I expected superior service for a 5-star hotel. The best part was the adult pool and our view." – Kathleen from St. Paul, Minnesota
