Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach Resort Reviews

The Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach is a spectacular Cabo Resort. Built upon a the cliff above a beautiful wide-sand Cabo Beach. While the beach is not suited for swimming due to strong under-current, it is a great place to sunbathe and enjoy the ocean views. The Pueblo Bonito Sunset Beach resort is both a hotel and a time-share resort. It is located about 3 miles from downtown Cabo San Lucas.

The guestrooms are tastefully appointed in onyx and earth tones. The Spa at Sunset Beach is offers an extensive menu of services that incorporate the healing properties of the sea and desert plants. Pueblo Bonito Sunset os a fine dining as well as a Japanese restaurant, in addition to a buffet and poolside snack bar.

"Just got back from a week at Pueblo Benito Sunset. I will start by saying my experience at the resort was not a good one at first. When I arrived the receptionist was not friendly or gracious when she told me she could not find my reservation. I explained to her that we tried to call the resort several times prior to confirm and speek with someone regarding our plans for our stay but we were not successful cause no one had the knowledge, did not return calls and did not answer the phone. She did not seem to care. Hospitality was not their forte. When got this vib for 2 days. Of course the only one that did great us was Jackie the time-share host. They put us on the 19th floor but I asked to be changed to a lower level and she looked at me as if I was crazy and said no. The resort is huge and the only way to get around is with golf carts that you have to order in advance. Most drivers seemed bothered. We ate at the Bistro that was ok but nothing to write home about but would recommend tortilla soup. The waiters there were nice when you saw them. No one showed us around or told us the rules of ticket for bus or directions to pool. We had to ask other guest that were sharing the same experiences. One day we went to the sky pool. It was beautiful up there but don’t forget anything cause you have to take the cart back to room then call for another cart to bring you back. We decided to go up to jacuzzi, there was no one in it. Well, I soon learn why. It reaked of beer and merky stuff on top. It was gross to say the least. After 2 days we just gave in to the beauty of the sites and stayed away from resort. I only recommend this resort if you do not care for how people treat you, you should not drink in fear of falling off golf carts, don’t care if you go into beach water cause you can not do it there, are not a senior cause not handicap friendly and if you dont want to enjoy your stay. Other than that yeah enjoy the view and stay in your ugly poor decorated room with prison pillows (hard as rocks). Sorry wish I had a better review." – JD from Los Angeles, California

"Resort was really nice. The grounds were spic and span. The room we stayed in (Jr. Suite) needed some painting and a good cleaning. The time share 90 minute tour turned out to be 2-1/2 hours. A little annoying, but we agreed to do it, so it was our own fault. I would stay at this hotel again. Ate at La Frida which was delicious but did not dine at any other restraunts in the hotel because they were too expensive. Had a great time. I highly recommend renting a car. Its off the beaten path a little bit so if you are looking to explore on your own, cabs will cost you a fortune." – Sandy from Batavia, Illinois
