“Guests and members run the gamut of body types and sizes. However, the emphasis at Empire Haven Nudist Resort is on common, united ground, not on our body images. We promote the right of individuals to be nude in a social group setting where conditions are appropriate. All guests have a right to enjoy the grounds as long as their behavior is acceptable for a “family-type” setting, and is not offensive to others. Every guest is entitled to their personal viewpoints and lifestyle, so long as they do not attempt to force others to share them.” Located on 100+ beautifully wooded acres in the hamlet of Moravia, New York, Empire Haven is a respected member of the local business community.

"Both the staff and guests were extremely unfriendly to me and my wife. I’m convinced this is because she’s black because of the hostile glares directed toward her. We sat down and immediately had our private discussion interrupted by a woman making unwanted comments. After several requests for her to leave us alone we finally left. She was still talking as we left and had a look of satisfaction that she had chased us out. The staff was completely disinterested in stopping this harassment. By all means visit Empire Haven. You have to drive down 5 miles of dirt road with no signage as if this is a classified location, pay your fee and leave quickly in disgust over rude guests and staff, but if that’s your thing Empire Haven is the place for you. I realize this is backwoods New York but these people take their prejudice too far." – John from New York

"This was my wife and I first experience at a clothing optional resort and IT WAS AWESOME. The staff was amazing, the pool and hot tubs were fantastic,. Everyone there; owners, staff, campers were all so nice we didn’t want to come home. The first half hour was very different and kind of uncomfortable being our first time and not knowing what to expect, but after that it was so freeing being in a family setting and everyone was naked. We just decided that when in Rome well you know. We would highly recommend this facility and can’t wait to go back if it wasn’t so far away. We would love to be seasonals. We have already decided we are going back at least 2 more times next year and we have not even unpacked yet. Thank you every one at Empire Haven for a wonderful and eye opening experience, we just didn’t want to leave! You guys were all AWESOME! We can’t wait to see all our new friends again real soon. If you have ever even thought of going to a nudist camp, Empire Haven is a hidden gem that you need to experience and just so you know we are in our 50’s and not skinny models and were excepted with no judging, made so many friends, miss all you guys!" – Michael from New York

"Empire Haven is a fantastic place to spend a day, week or all summer. I went there for the first time last summer. Being a married male by myself. I was not sure if they would even let me in. Their website was very inviting and made it sound laid back and no big deal. I decided to check it out. I was surprise at how easy it was to get in the resort and how friendly the people were. I am now trying to get my wife to accompany me. Hoping she will. If you are thinking of going to Empire Haven and have never been to a clothing optional resort take it from me it is a lot easier and more relaxed than you think. You will only feel weird for the first 5 minutes, really." – Al from New York

"I have been going to Empire Haven for 20 years now, since I was 23 years old. It was the first and only nudist camp I have been to. Thus, I have nothing else to base it on, only the opinions of others I have met over the years. My father and step-mother have been going there for 24 years. All three of my daughters, my four nephews, and two nieces have been going since birth pretty much.
Given the fact that we have three generations of members, I have never really felt welcomed there by the staff. The front line staff have a phony sense of caring and forced smiles and the owners are grumpy and stand-offish. The new manager is trying to run the place like a business and is forgetting that it is a family oriented campground, with an attitude like, “This is a campground, not your home.” (said directly to my father, a permanent resident for 20 years from June to October.) The grounds are in desperate need of updating as there appear to be fewer visitors as the years go on. Reception is poor, although I am personally happy about that as I go up there to get away from the bustle and bustle of it all and turn my cell phone off; however, others do want to stay connected, especially the permanent residences. Otherwise, the campers do foster a family-oriented environment. Our kids have always felt safe there; the oldest now 24yr and the youngest 5yr. The dances are inviting for all ages, yet setting an unofficial curfew for the kids to leave around 10pm so the adults can be adults. And it works.
I have enjoyed my time visiting my father at Empire Haven over the years, however, due to the uneasy feelings I get from the staff I am presuming this will be not only my last year of going up but my father is also deciding to make this his last year too for similar reasons." – Thana from New York

"This was a good introduction to clothing-optional recreation. The patrons and the staff were great. They were very friendly without being too nosy. The park was tidy and the pool area was well-maintained. I had a great time learning and playing pickleball, which seemed to be a resort favorite. My only complaint is that it seemed to be a bit slow. There weren’t many people there, and I have a feeling I would have gotten bored if I stayed more than a few hours. That being said, I visited on a Friday, which I was told is one of their slow days and that the camp really picked up on the weekend proper. I would gladly go again, though preferably on a Saturday or Sunday." – Joe from New York

"My first time to a nudist resort. I was invited by a family member. I would and will go again. Had a great time talking to people in the park and in the pool/hot tub/sauna areas. I must say I enjoyed the “freedom” as you know what I mean, with no clothes on at any time. My family members were extra attentative to me and my concerns. The campground is in excellent shape and very clean and I felt that there was something for everyone and anyone to do. I must say that I felt I would have a hard time walking around and being around other people nude, but everyone made me feel real relaxed. I was invited into owner’s and member’s residences for conversation. This I felt was a real ice breaker for both and all parties. The restaurant building is VERY clean and the people were great also. After a full day, in the sun and at the activity areas, I went back to my family member’s residence and had dinner and chatted with some neighbors for a while before I had to head back home. I do realize the park is closing at end of September (for the winter), but, I have made arrangements to go more than twice next year." – Joe from New York

"Great place and great day. I will return." – Dean from New York

"This is a real camper/RV friendly resort. We have been there many times and will continue to visit when the chance arrives. We have been to AANR/TNS resorts all over the US and in Europe and still enjoy the people at Empire Haven. We have run into friends at Empire Haven that we met previously in Georgia and Virginia. It seems everyone that knows about Empire Haven loves the place." – Charles, Full-Time RV Traveler

"It was my first experience. Staff were great, visitors were all very friendly. The cabins and trailers were clean. Just a over all fantastic good time. I would recommend to any body." – Ed from New York

"I was just at Empire Haven for the 4th of July and their clam seafood bake. The food was great and the company great. Being that I have only gone twice before, I feel like the people and staff that one finds at Empire Haven are very friendly and helpful. An added bonus that weekend was a scorcher but at night the temperature dropped a lot so that sleeping was not a problem as I had rented a mobile home and sometimes those can be hot, but as I said the night time temp was great. I should also mention that the rental was very clean and a pleasure to stay at." – Brad from New York
