“Where There is No Wine, There is No Love.”

A common cliche you might have heard and read a lot. Wines are genuinely one of the most lovable entity as it deems the broadest range of usage for all humanity. A bottle of wine can serve any purpose. Champagne is for celebration, white wine for overall wellness, and red wine for a romantic couple date affair. Each wine label is made finely by different winery regions across the globe. They also offer a food pairing and wine tasting activities, perfect for Travel Foodies looking for a culinary getaway. It is one of the reasons why you should not miss touring a winery region in your travel bucket list.

While the Napa Valley Wine Country and the South of France may the most celebrated winery regions in California. They are wine regions that blend culinary experience great fine wines for all to enjoy. Yet, south of Southern California, is a hidden paradise of the vineyards you should not miss. Mexico? Wine? Yes! The Mexican Wine Country offers a perfect blend of picturesque landscape and a budding wine industry that is growing leaps and bounds.

Mexico’s wine industry is not new. Hernan Cortes demanded that grape vines be planted almost immediately after he arrived in the New World in the 1500’s. Yet, until recently Mexico has always been known for its beer and Tequila. In fact, only a decade or so ago, high class restaurants in Mexico City only offered California and European wines. Yet, that is changing as vineyards with college educated winemakers are making incredible vintages in wineries located in the northern areas of the country such as the state of Sonora and are really beginning to make a name for themselves. They offer a blend of old world charm and great tasting wine! You can spend a perfect weekend getaway traveling with your friends and family. The wineries feature a lot of beautiful vineyard scenic spots for you to tour at the same time gives you a great culinary combination of Mexican food and wine tasting.

There are quite a few ways to reach the Mexican wine country, but I would recommend speak with a Travel Agent who specialized in Mexico or Wine Tours to secure safe and reliable transportation and a tour guide who knows the local wineries. While some people may find it strange to consider a winery tour of Mexico, you can also combined it with a few days on the coast in Ensenada which is less than 30 minutes away. You can broaden your knowledge of the country when it comes to how each vineyard craft a perfect bottle of fine wine.

Bruma Valle de Guadalupe

Bruma Valle de Guadalupe is one of the largest Mexican wineries and is being developed into an upscale culinary resort.  Bruma is situated about ten minutes away from the town of Guadalupe just north and east of Ensanada, about 2-hours from San Diego. Bruma is an upscale desert style property featuring modern architectural design that amazes visitors. They also offer a restaurant, spa, and more amenities you can surely enjoy.

Hotel Encuentro Guadalupe

The Encuentro Guadalupe is a one of a kind place to stay in the heart of the Guadalupe Valley. The rooms are arranged in a laddered way that comes in a rectangular look. The site offers a pristine and dramatic view of the hillside accompanied by a never before seen resort that comes in a modernist style. The square house has a private terrace which will give you the best angle shot of the Guadalupe Valley view.

The Place You Can Taste Unique Mexican Wines

Your Mexican winery travel experience is not complete without tasting their most boasted wine labels. There are three main places in Mexican vineyard where you can taste their elegance wine labels that come in the highest quality according to famous Wine Ratings.

Vena Cava

Vena Cava Winery bills itself as “The Hippest Winery in Mexico!” It was founded in 2005 by a couple of American Ex-Pats Eileen and Phil Gregory. They run an upscale Mediterranean style Inn and Equestrian Center along with the Winery. indeed onis one of the oldest places you can head on in Mexican vineyard to taste their best wine labels. It is owned by a British couple who moved to this place for almost 20 years. They created this restaurant to offer a full place of the winery and hang-out areas you must ultimately access. You can also bring a glass of Cava wine while touring around the place and enjoying a fitness exercise such as yoga.

Finca de Carrodilla

Finca de Carrodilla is situated only ten minutes away from Vena Cava. You can taste the best of Mexican organic wines as they there the first vineyard in Mexico to earn a certificate for bio-dynamic wines. You will never go wrong as you take a once in a lifetime chance of tasting their zero-calorie wines, offering a lot of health benefits for all tasters who are health conscious.

The Places Where You Can Fill Your Tummy

Completing your Mexican vineyard travel experience is to look for a place to eat. Guadalupe Valley vineyards not only give you a unique place to stay and drink, but also offers a couple of places to eat the best Mexican dishes. Here’s one of my favorites.

Fauna

We talked about Bruma, which is one of the best places to stay in Mexican vineyard, and attached to it is Fauna. This incredible restaurant is rapidly building a wide reputation for culinary excellence. You may find it a bit a boisterous and loud but you will also really enjoy your meal while partying. It is a restaurant that serves the best flavors of lemon risotto and fresh abalone accompanied by a seaweed. If you are a health-conscious individual or following a strict vegan diet, you can head on to their vegetable garden which allows you to choose green food which you can freshly pick and eat.

  1. All wines we tasted were fantastic, but we settled on the Cab and a short walk down a shady limestone path to a multi-level covered deck overlooking the San Marcos River to enjoy watching folks tubing the river and the pleasant breezes.

  2. The very best region for good wines, delicious foods, and beautiful gardens with great scenic views. Go and stop being scared by the news media. Everyone needs a break from Dodge City i.e., traffic, smoke, criminals, political losers, this virus thing, toxic people, etc., Yup. relax at Posada Inn, don’t always pay higher prices to sleep. duh, its Mexico. There are numerous places to stay and much cheaper.

Do some research, things have changed, there is Fcebook wine info, then a new place called Frieda’s. … but there is so many more like MD Vinos, across from Wine Museum, with a high valley viewing tower and craft beer/foods. Next door are wine barrels for sleeping, there is El Cielo, Dona Lupe’s, etc. For kids not too many wineries will have them so take them to the water parks and picnic areas, socialize with locals. Don’t be so standoffish. Learn about Mexican culture by hanging out with them. You might enjoy some enrichment..
