Dubai is the most visited cities in the World. It offers a lot of different things to its visitors. From tall buildings to man-made islands, Dubai will take you by surprise with every passing minute you stay here. Dubai also offers some famous luxurious 5-star and 7-star hotels where you can stay in style.

Now in my previous articles on Dubai, I took you round the most happening places in Dubai along with things to do while you are here. In this read, I will take you through some of the best places where you can have popular Dubai food because no holiday is complete until you have some great food.

You can try some of the local Arabic dishes in Dubai. Even continental and oriental foods are widely available here. Some of the restaurants have terrific themes and lovely ambiances which you will get to see in Dubai only. Read on to find out more about places to hog on while in Dubai.

When in Dubai, expect the unexpected. Dubai offers river cruises especially to just have dinner. Yes, you heard that right! Enjoy your food in mesmerizing waters. The dinner is available in buffet style and usually carried out in a spectacular boat.

The Dhow boat dinner cruise is available on Dubai Marina or Dubai Creek. The boat also has some extra features like children’s entertainment. Apart from that, you can sit and relax on the boat to witness the stunning Dubai skyline. The popular cruises are Bateaux Dubai and Rustar.

Bu Qtair

This restaurant is located in Jumeirah. It is a seaside restaurant and is a bit out of the way. However, it is worth a visit. Although it does not have a fancy ambiance, the food quality is top notch. They usually have a set menu which includes deep-fried turmeric fish, basmati rice and Assamese curry.

A lot of locals and tourists visit this place. The restaurant has excellent reviews, and you will find the fish well-cooked and marinated.

Manousheh

It is local pizza and is ideal for people who are looking to try some local flavors. It is the perfect pick for a unique breakfast. Usually, the pizza is stretched on a flatbread which is filled with zatar herbs, olive oil, and Akkawi cheese.

Manousheh tastes delicious and is also considered the best street food in Dubai. It is usually accompanied with sweet jam and minced lamb. Alternatively, it is topped with sour cream as well.

Chelo Kebab

Chelo Kebab has one of the best food dishes served in Dubai. The kebabs are the specialty of Dubai. The food here is a treat for non-vegetarians. They serve lip-smacking aromatic basmati rice with assorted butter kebabs.

The dish is generally accompanied by sour zereshk berries. The restaurant has great reviews, and the food here is considered to be exceptionally tasty.

Tom & Serg

Tom & Serg’s is called Dubai’s hipster café. The vibe is great, and the ambiance is simply amazing. The owners are from Australia, but they have set the coffee scene in Dubai. The café has a unique warehouse style which attracts the locals and the tourists, both.

The location of the café is also convenient being situated in the emerging arts district of Al Quoz. Tom & Serg serves simple meals like salads and sandwiches, but you will love them. The café has a play area for children as well. Many people recommend the flat white coffee here.

Din Tai Fung

Dubai is a land which welcomes different cultures and nationalities from all over the World. This practice reflects in their food culture as well. Din Tai Fung offers the best Taiwanese food in Dubai. It is a restaurant chain which is located in the bustling Mall of Emirates.

They are famous for their scrunching dumplings. Besides, their noodles and Xiao long bao are also good. In case you are vegetarian, you can get yourself some vegetarian dishes as well. Even locals love having dinner here.

Indego by Vineet


Indego by Vineet Restaurant falls under the list of high-end restaurants in Dubai and is located in the posh area of Dubai Marina. Vineet Bhatia who is the head chef and owner of this restaurant is the face of modern Indian cuisine. He is also the first Indian chef to have won the prestigious Michelin Award for two of his restaurants in Geneva and London.

Please note that the food served here is a bit spicy. However, if you want to try authentic Indian food, then you can do it here in Dubai.

Aseelah

It is a fine dine restaurant situated in the heart of Old Dubai. If you want to eat like a local, then this is the right place to be at. It offers dishes with a twist of traditional flavors. The aesthetics of the restaurants are covered with colors of the sand.

Order the classic Samak here. It is basically a fish cooked in gravy with spiced rice. Their presentation techniques are appreciated, and the restaurant space also boasts a huge lounge area.

Logma

Logma is located in Dubai’s happening strip mall which is known as the Boxpark. It is a casual café which serves Khaleeji cuisine. The ambiance of the café is fresh and modern.

You can expect to find breakfast dishes like chebab which are the Emirati pancakes and khameer, the flatbread topped with date syrups and cheese. They also serve lunch dishes like Emirati chicken and rice. The Emirati dessert Luqaimat is also a must try here.

SMCCU

SMCCU is the best place for having Emirati breakfast. Located in Al Fahidi near the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding, it also acts as a sightseeing place and thus, you can combine having breakfast at SMCCU.

You can also relish the local cuisine while learning the local culture of the UAE. The place serves lunch and dinner, too. The dishes are prepared using traditional techniques which makes it all the more authentic and yummy.

Conclusion

Dubai has so many restaurants and cafes that it is almost overwhelming to list down all at one place. However, these are the topmost restaurants which I think should be tried once.
