Missed Traveling in 2020?

2020 has put a halt on all our traveling activities and as a result, disrupted the travel industry all across the world in different ways. Now that the whole year is wasting and it is finally coming to an end, 2021 is the only hope for people to revive their dead travel plans. While 2020 gave us a lot of time to invest in art, family, ourselves, self-improving, cooking, among others, people are planning to travel their heart out and till their feet hurts further in 2021. The New Year is a hope to open more such opportunities; those were long lost in 2020.

The worldwide pandemic gave birth to many challenges, at the same time, it also snatched many opportunities. However, now with the approaching 2021, we assumed that readers out there might be planning to travel to freshen themselves of all the stress they had been going through amid the virus spread, tension, dropping economy and whatnot. Therefore, here are the holiday trends that will be popular in the coming year.

Work + Vacation

Work and Travel
Have you ever traveled without taking a single leave from your work? Well, we would not even think of it but this is definitely now possible. With 180 degrees change in the working scenario now more people prefer working from home rather than anything else and this will facilitate our travel plan as well. We can travel more and work from the vacation spot without disturbing both our professional and personal lives.

Recently a trio in India traveled on their bicycles as they were able to cover a distance of more than 1,500 km without skipping a single office day. Likewise, most people would prefer to vacate to some remote place, work and chill. If you never thought of this one, thank me later for the idea.

Solo Travel

Peru Machu Picchu
Gone are those times when we used to travel with our whole squad because now more people fear the virus infection. Solo travel is one way to ensure travel and social distance both at the same time. 2020 came with immense challenges and it is 2021 when one would want to wander on their own.

Or else, if bag packers decide to travel it is more likely for them to travel with the ones whom they closely know like close friends or family, but in smaller groups.

Solo travel has its own perks. One can do whatever they want to wherever they want without compromising on their wishes which most travelers do when they travel in groups.

‘Clean & Safe’ Travel

Woman Hikers
The factor that we never paid attention to. Cleanliness and physical safety are what we must always focus on. This trend is going places because coronavirus has undoubtedly made people conscious of it. Also, now people providing travel services like hotels, restaurants, tourist spots etc are more conscious of giving cleaner surroundings to ensure that they are getting more customers.

With sanitizers and masks becoming mandatory, travelers or tourists have become more aware and careful ever since the pandemic began.

Mostly when we travel, it is almost 85% sure that we would not get clean washrooms, hotel rooms, hygienic food and other requirements but now, clean and safe travel will be a sure thing to be trending in the coming time.

Sustainable Travel

Getting Lost in the Forest
With a year full of economic pressure and a tester of how responsibly aware we are, 2021 will see people acting more responsibly towards traveling to ensure sustainably and less exploring of indefensible travel. But how sustainability can be seen n traveling?

This means people might feel a need for more traveling to places of deep history, containing cultural meaning, and staying at one place to experience local businesses, responsible guesting, remote or slow travel plan.

Domestic Traveling

As suggested by the situation currently, the uncertainty in foreign travel, given the restrictions, has indeed gotten us in trouble making travel a complete hectic altogether. We have to go through security checks, quarantine, masks, social distancing, Covid-19 tests among many such formalities based on the country’s guidelines where we want to travel to.

However, amid all this, domestic travel is one way to escape the boredom and come back from our stressful routines we previously went through. I know for a fact nothing can compare to the beautiful beaches, islands etc but believe me your country itself has a lot to witness and more than anything, when you visit them in future, you would regret not to till now.

Road Trips

Solo Traveler
The more to get into public places, the more risk to transfer of this highly contagious infection. People would prefer more traveling in personal vehicles and less staying in the hotels to avoid infection. We have already witnessed how aggressively the virus had spread around making us trust less on others.

Road trips are more fun and it is one of a kind experience for a person that comes very fewer times in a lifetime. Road trips have a beauty of its own; unplanned, no worries, being in your own comfort and deciding on your own where to go next.

Conclusion

Well, personally, coronavirus and the lockdown have taught me a lot about how work can be done without putting huge effort and man-power. Therefore, here are the top trends for the travelers to ensure responsible for traveling so that you can explore and embrace the blissful outdoors.
