Flagstaff, Arizona
The first thing to understand is that Flagstaff site at 6,909 ft elevation and is not on the southern Arizona Desert floor. You will find Flagstaff in the most Northern part of Arizona. Being in the mountains provides green mountain areas, a ski resort and beautiful lakes and fishing. People bring the RV’s to experience wonderful camping, while others simply drive up and stay in one of the numerous motels and lodges in the area. The historic Downtown Flagstaff area is small town USA with great restaurants and places to shop. A visit to Heritage Square in downtown Flagstaff will provide fun traditional country anf folk music, southwest style art exhibits and places to quench your thirst. A short drive to the San Francisco Peaks will take you to the highest mountains in the state of Arizona. If you enjoy nature hikes, a trip to the San Francisco Peaks is a must. Another cool place to visit is Walnut Canyon National Monument where you can explore the remnants of the Sinagua Cave Dwelling people who lived in this area until approximately 1,250 AD. They left almost 80 cave homes in the side of the limestone canyon side.

A short hour drive from San Francisco is the amazing Napa Valley Wine Country. You may have seen on your local news that the area had horrible wild fires, but rest assured there are many famous wineries open for business with wine starting and gourmet dining. Billings, Montana
Billings, Montana is a hidden gem. It is about 2-hours from world famous Yellowstone National Park. The area is full of natural beauty and fun outdoor activities. You can easily arrange horseback riding or go for a nature hike on one of the many trails. Rent a mountain bike and hit the trails.
