I’m Tim Mullins, the American Association for Nude Recreation Government Affairs Chair since 2011 and a candidate for AANR West Trustee in 2020. I’m running so AANR has a voice on the Board who cares about the expansion of nude places for all of us to use. It isn’t about organized resorts it’s about access. Review Resorts shares trip reports from both free and fee destinations including Nudist Resorts. Most of us started our quest to be clothes free at a local watering hole that was free or low cost. That is what I want to see us supporting at AANR. It’s what I support.
In the West we worked hard for years to get a nude beach reopened in Santa Barbara County in California. This doesn’t benefit me personally as I don’t live in the area. It benefits us as nudists in general. The work we put in meeting with local politicians and introducing them to nudists. The efforts to show we are normal constituents with a desire to use public lands in a responsible manner, and to work with them to preserve and protect that land for future use, served us well. That kind of long-term commitment with a focus on a future benefit is what I represent. I look at the big picture and the long-range goals. Nude use is a marathon not a sprint. We need to create and nurture the infrastructure that allows nude use. We can’t just move from one fire to the next. I envision having a team in place to provide on-going support. We gain that support by having nude use ambassadors on-site and using social media sites such as Trip Advisor to keep the use wholesome and in-line with our personal goals. We must keep local users involved if we are going to keep our nude-use areas.
I served as the West Regional Trustee from 2012 to 2018, I know the responsibilities of the position, and I take seriously getting feedback of the members when representing you on the Board. You deserve a leader who listens and cares about your concerns. Under the new structure there are only seven voices on the Board that represent the members, one from each region.
Given the smaller number of Board members there is a lot of work that gets done by committees. In the past the Chairs of these committees were usually on the board as a voting member. It is unrealistic to think that work can now be done by the seven members. We will need to keep the committee chairs in the loop. These advocates for nudists are not working alone. We are all part of the team we all desire the normalization of nude use.
I serve as your Government Affairs Chair and have since 2011. I fight to make sure laws that impact our ability to enjoy nude recreation are protected when new legislation is introduced.
I was awarded the highest honor that can be presented to an AANR Member, the Jim Cossins Outstanding Service Award in 2018, and twice awarded the Presidential Meritorious Service Award. I fight for nude causes because I believe it is important to have places to gather and public lands to introduce new generations to the joy of nude recreation.
I continue to support you and ask you to share my information with your club members and support me by your vote. I have attached my flyer with my website www.AANRforward.com listed as well as some of my goals for the next Board. I ask for your support in getting out the vote of your members in May to secure a representative for AANR West who cares about the members and clubs and will work to protect our hard-won rights in the future.

Tim Mullins has been serving AANR since August 2011 as the Government Affairs Team (GAT) Chair. Tim spends a lot of time naked at the river, he did however get rid of his van. When he is not doing that he spends time reading about proposed legislation that could impact his ability to stay naked down by the river and subsequently getting that information out to you the reading and thinking nudists.

Totally support Tim’s efforts. His work for nudists is unparalleled.

Thanks Dave. I try to think of what works best for all nudists not a subset like club members or even organnized groups. What keeps Nude Use open is best for all.
