Woman Solo Travel

Times have changed. Young girls and women are being educated about their profound importance not only in the social world but also the economic world. You have probably heard the popular saying that goes;

“Whatever a Man can do. . .a Woman can do it even better!”

Majority of women have learned how to survive and thrive without depending on men because they complain that men are sometimes a pain in the ass. A friend of mine was traveling to North Africa, Europe and finally to Middle East with her boyfriend. And they had a few challenges.

You know how difficult it is for a woman who values her independence to travel with her controlling boyfriend! She had to wait for him to get up in the morning. She wanted to try out alternative routes but her boyfriend would not agree. She got blisters on her feet but her boyfriend insisted on walking. When they got back home, you can guess what happened. Yes, they broke up because as an educated woman of means, she valued her freedom and independence. You may find that you also prefer solo travel to companionship. We understand how important freedom is to you. Independent females are strong women in our society today. In this article, we will discuss seven reasons why women should consider going solo when they travel. Here is the first one!

You Become More Confident

Lack of self-confidence can have a serious impact on your life. Generally, women who are not confident in themselves usually question all the decisions they make or hesitate making decisions at all. Hesitation will prevent you from living a full life.

Women who are not confident also have a need to seek confirmation from others when it is not necessary. If you solo travel, you will be forced to make your own decisions which will in turn help you regain your self-confidence. You will solve your own problems, have a better perspective of the world and your life and learn to rely on yourself when doing work.

Gaining Your Independence

Once you start traveling alone, you do everything as you please without being monitored by anyone. You start using your survival instincts. You don’t care what anybody says or thinks about you because at the end of the day, it’s you and you alone versus the world.

“You don’t care what anybody says or thinks about you because at the end of the day, it’s you and you alone versus the world!”

You get to learn from your mistakes. When you mess up, fall or hit rock bottom, you will pick yourself up and use what you’ve learnt to get to the top. As a woman, you get to do what most women are afraid of. Traveling alone is can be very tough and a bit scary at times and that’s what makes you push yourself to act and perform better in every way. Similar to EduGeeksClub writers you will gain and appreciate your independence.

You Get Out of Your Comfort Zone

As a solo female traveler, you know that you are alone out there. And for anything to happen, you have to make the move. Gone are the days when people will stick around trying to tell you what you should or should not do.

A solo female traveler can get up in the morning and prepare herself in ten minutes. She does not seek approval from other people. She cares less about their opinions. She is just comfortable being herself. She understands that the comfort zone is a dangerous place for a woman who craves for success and freedom.

You Need to Heal

It does not matter if you suffered a huge loss, broke up with your longtime boyfriend or you just have had enough with what life brings to you. You need a break. You need to spend some time alone for you to heal and regain your energy. It will help you understand yourself better so that you can make better decisions in the future. And all this is possible for you if you travel solo. Experience can be a brutal teacher but it makes sure you learn and never forget.

You Learn How to Love

Most people believe that love is an emotion that is only available between two individuals in a relationship. You understand how love is important to you as woman. Once you start traveling solo you will begin to realize that love is always around you, but you just never notice it.

You will start paying attention to the trees, the blue sky, the warm sun, the stranger who smiled at you today, the beautiful animals in the park and the colorful flowers around you. Love is everywhere, always reaching out to you if you allow yourself to see it and feel it. When you sit down and think about it, you will also get to realize that you ARE love! And the relationship you had with someone was just a small dimension of the immense possibility.

You Start Appreciating Things

When you live in a place where you get everything you want, it is very easy for you to forget where you came from and start taking things for granted. In fact, that is what most people do today. You can easily get fresh clean water. You wear the most comfortable clothes and shoes. You drive the car of your dreams. You live just across the road and you’ve got enough money to sustain yourself for a couple of years. BUT, you take all these things for granted. The best way for you to learn how to appreciate things is solo travel.

Sometime, you may find yourself camping in the forest. You will walk for many miles to get back on the main road. You will have to clean yourself using water in the rivers and even drink it at times. Just as Assignment Geek appreciates its writers, you will appreciate everything you have even more once you go back home. And this is one of the biggest lessons in life.

You Will Discover Yourself Again

Today in this age and era, women have the tendency to compare themselves with the other women around them. Everyone woman wants to wear the latest designer clothes, drive a fancy car, live in a nicer neighborhoods, get married to the rich guy and have beautiful and more intelligent children than the other women around.

Traveling alone will give you back your independence and confidence which will drive away the urge to impress and compare yourself to other women. You will get to discover that there exists a world beyond your desires and wants. You will meet people with different personalities, skin colors and body shapes. You will embrace your strengths and weaknesses and above all, your individualism.

Conclusion

If at any moment you feel depressed, angry, happy or frustrated, you might consider planning a solo journey. If you have a need to be alone or to discover yourself, consider a journey traveling solo. You will learn what most women today have forgotten.

“You will learn what most women today have forgotten.”

You come to learn and understand the basic fundamentals of life and how to appreciate them. Solo travel is just another form of self-improvement but this time, it is not something you read in a book but something you get to learn with experience. And as the saying goes, experience is the best teacher. Go out and see the world on your own. There is nothing to lose!
