"The management is very friendly and accommodating, and the facilities are well maintained. The pool is delightful. Unfortunately, summer was not the best time to visit Terra Cotta as the temperature in Palm Springs was 112 degrees. The visitors either left early or crowded into the shady spots, which were limited. The palm trees are pleasant to look at but don’t provide much shade. People who spent much time in the pool were getting very pink. The resort would be improved by having moveable shade cloth canopies to protect against the blistering sun." – Desmond from Oregon
"My wife and me have visited the TCI over 25 times in the past 5 years. We are lucky and only live 2 hours away. We love the Terra Cotta Inn because from the minute we arriv, with a warm welcome from either the staff or the owners we feel as though we are at home. We shed our clothes and never get dressed until we have to leave. We call it the walk of shame when we walk towards the front enterance on our way home. We have met many first timers that are new to nudity and many friends that we have met at TCI. It is the best place in Palm Springs for the value. Breakfast is included as well as the owner Tom serving strawberries in the pool at 4:00pm with just a bowtie on…also serving wine (white or red). Terra Cotta Inn is NOT a “lifestyle” destination. It is for the Nudist! We already have several more trips already on the books at TCI…Come join a fun bunch of people!" – Jim and Terry from California
"This was our first experience at a clothing optional resort. We loved this place. You shed your clothes and no one pays any attention to you. Comfortable rooms, great breakfast, wonderful afternoon wine and appetizers. We love the place and will likely be back. This is not a 4-star resort but it IS very friendly, comfortable and intimate." – Jay from Canada
"My wife and I decided to stay at Terra Cotta Inn only after a lot of hesitation and soul searching about being nude in “public.” We decided you only live life once, and we are going after the gusto. From the moment we walked in, Tom and Mary Claire, the owners of this great hotel/spa, made us feel welcome and comfortable. While we did have a moment or two of nervousness, we skinny dipped … and never looked back. We loved the place! We will be returning often. Tom told us that something like 80% of their guests have been there before and now we know why. Great people and great fun! We were pampered." – John from Georgia
"My Husband and I took a trip to Palm Springs, California to the Terra Cotta Inn this last November 2009. I was very hesitant since this would be our first trip to a “nudist” resort. My husband suggested it and it took me a while to even warm up to the idea. When we first arrived we were welcomed very warmly and taken to our rooms and shown around. With my heart beating faster then usual we un-packed the clothes we brought along. I guess when we say we are going away for a day or two normal reaction is packing clothes! I un-dressed, wrapped a towel around me and headed out the door. My husband was ready before me and was very sweet in helping me relax. I realized quickly that there was nothing to be nervous about everyone else was just as nude as I was under my towel and and I quickly shed it and started to enjoy our short getaway. I was a first time nudist and now because of the Terra Cotta and their comfortable enviroment, I will be a repeat nudist. Thank you Terra Cotta Inn staff and guests for making it a great stay! See you in Jan 2010 we Re-booked!" – Tanya from California
"This was our second trip to Terra Cotta Inn and we loved it just as much as the first. We were there in August. It was 105 degrees. The place was packed. They have this great misting system that made it nice and cool poolside. The town of Palm Springs didn’t have many tourists then (we were there on a Tuesday and Wednesday). When we told our friends we were going to PS in August they said we were crazy. Terra Cotta is a nudist resort. We said being naked poolside you don’t have to worry about the heat. Terra Cotta is probably the best clothing optional resort in the US. Although we are in our 20s we saw guests our age to the 60s. Everyone has a great time there. They just added free WiFi (which is good because we have to check our e-mails) and a fantastic salt system pool. Nudist resorts are so much fun. Terra Cotta advertises that they are perfect for first time nude sunbathers, and they are right. It is very romantic as there are no kids there." – Jill from California
