"Rooms, Service and Food were terrible. Could not stand to even eat the food. The service was really bad. They were not helpful and very rude. Room cleanliness was bad. We went without a working toilet for the whole 6 days we stayed there. Our light fixture even fell from the ceiling during our stay and it was never fixed." – Libby from Dickinson, North Dakota

Remarks:
"Can I give it zero stars??? I just returned from the Solymar and will absolutely never return again! It was awful. When we first arrived our room was in a basement, had no dead-bolt on the door and was completely nasty. We complained and got a different room, but it was just as bad. The service was horrible. It took ten minutes to get a cup of water and even longer to get a drink. There were only two bars and one was only open for a few hours a day. The swim-up bar was not open the entire week. Also, there was only one bartender at each bar and they spoke little to no English. They did not let you have more than one drink at a time even if you were bringing it to your friend on the beach. One day they ran out of tequila, beer, rum, and vodka!!! All-inclusive, yeah right! There was also only one restaurant, it had bad hours of operation, terrible service, and the food was completely un-edible! The only thing we ate the whole week was buttered rolls. We had to leave the resort to eat or have any fun. Never stay here, ever. Mexico was wonderful (outside of this dump)!"
