"We checked on this place and another one that was hard to find plus right by a train that was running late into the night. This one was clean, had a number of spots and we only stayed one night. We arrived after hours and they have a set up to pick a spot, fill out the info and call with a phone they provide. It worked well. Showers were hot, WIFI was strong and we were in the middle of the Park. They even had a washers and dryers. This is in town and there was some minor street noise. Nothing ear plugs did not take care of. I would recommend this Park." – Laurie from San Marcos, California

"The park is decent for an Anchorage park. The wifi was virtually non-existent. There was no cable. The park itself is very cramped. We called over a month in advance to reserve a full pull through for our month stay in our 39 motor home. When we arrived, they didnt have a pull through so the employee gave us 2 sites that would accommodate our rig. Unfortunately, it wasnt in writing. Two weeks into our stay, they got very busy and a camper was placed behind us and up against us. The next morning a very aggressive manager banged our door and yelled at my husband to move our vehicle. When we tried to explain it to us she essentially said we werent telling the truth and could leave any time. Had we known they could not accommodate us to begin with, we would have had no problem staying 30 minutes away in Palmer at the location we were at first. Needless to say, we left early as the manager had no interest in sorting out the details or finding a solution. Never again!" – Laura from Ft. Myers, Florida

"Terrific trip! We met the nicest people everywhere. We RV with another couple and our little long hair Dachshund. We all enjoyed the stories the manager at Golden Nugget RV Park tells. Alaska is beautiful. We’ll return to Alaska and Golden Nugget." – Silvio from Nader

"Poeple there were friendly. Have a 41 ft Class A. Spots were a little difficult to turn into. Full service RV park. Stayed here for 8 days. They do not have a fenced dog park. I would stay there again." – James from Tucson, Arizona

"Worst value in RV parks we have been our rv cross country trip to Alaska since 6-1-11. This park has failed in service and committment. Did not have pull through site as per reservation made 3-9-11. I was told by manager, park did not guarrantee site. Proved untrue they did reserve pull throughs for carvans. We have only had 1-1/2 TV channnels advertised. We have only had 3 days of wifi service. Over stated site sizes approximately 20 by 35 for a 33 RV with tow vechile, larger RV’s nose are in street. We have been paying an average of $31.00 per night or less across lower 48, BC and Yukon and other Alaskan Parks. Here we pay $42.00 plus." – John from Lenhartsville, Pennsylvania

"This place has a great website, too bad it must be for another campground. I asked and paid for full hook-up. Full hook-up must mean you plug into your neighbors water connection because I had to run a hose 30 to another lot. When I asked the staff about it they just looked at me and had absolutely no response, nor did they offer any alternatives. The wifi connection is intermittent at best. If you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy your evening, I would not recommend coming here as there are numerous children riding through the parking lot and running around the campers after the 10:00 p.m. “quiet time”. Overall this was an overpriced miserable rv experience." – Jimmy from New London, Connecticut

"Great place to call home base while passing thru Anchorage. We stay twice, once on the way down to Homer and once on way back, each time 3 nights. Campground is clean, safe and welcomes pets. Staff was friendly and always helpful. There is local entertainment in the park almost every night." – Amy from Burbank, Calif

"The Golden Nugget RV Park was a great place for my family when they came to visit. The bathrooms were very modern and very clean. I loved all the well maintained flowers and the staff was very helpful. My family travels all over the states and stay at many rv parks, they said this one was the best ever. I didn’t stay at the rv park but I did visit my family while they were there. I was treated like a vip guest, I liked that. It’s no wonder so many people like this rv park. The entertainment WOW! They had all kinds of entertainment from brass bands to magic shows. I was impressed." – Sam from Anchorage, Alaska

"Stayed here for 8 days in June 2009. Nice camp ground pretty easy to find, quiet at night, back in sites were a little tight–width and length. We had a 34 foot 5th wheel. They had entertainment 6 nights — live band — and free dinner at 7:00 PM each day. Different food each evening. Overall a nice campground and I would stay there again. We did attend the Sourdough Mining Co in Anchorage for lunch and it was quite expensive and the food was poor. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel." – Kevyn from Salem, Oregon
