Here is our Westin Maui Resort Review:

The Westin Maui Hotel is a very nice 5 star property located in the center of Kaanapali Maui. The Westin Maui probably has the best pool areas on Maui. The large freeform pool dominates the center of the hotel. It has 5-tiers of inter-connected pools, waterfalls, a 128 ft waterslide and 3 jacuzzis. The Westin Maui Hotel has 5 Restaurants and a number of other dining choices in and around the Kaanapali area. The Westin Health Spa has a complete array of treatments, including fantastic facials! The Westin Maui Hotel is one of the more popular Maui Hotels.

Facilities: 758 Rooms, 2 Towers, Air conditioning, 5 Freeform Connected-Pools, Waterfalls, Jacuzzis, 8 Restaurants & 2 Bars, Fitness Center and Health Spa

We loved every minute of it. We are coming back on May 26th of this year. We can't wait. We were both widowed very young and have a large family between us, This was exactly what we needed. We were pampered more than we thought could be possible. My daughter spent her Honeymoon on Maui but at a different resort and did not have nearly as much fun as we did. With Whalers village shopping and dining and Black Rock snorkeling at the Sheraton- a perfect location.  Well worth the price.  We even booked our trip for us to come back with our two boys in June before we left. The only complaint is the size of the basic rooms-very tiny.  Definitely wouldn't work for a family. The front desk took the time to show us rooms knowing that we wanted to see them before we booked for our family. The concierge was extremely helpful planning dinner reservations and answering any questions.  On the other hand we checked out the Grand Wailea seeing if this is where we would bring our family.  But they were so unhelpful certainly no tour was going to take place.  They did give us a map to help ourselves! Warmly welcomed. I approached the desk w/o a reservation; was accomodated, as to what was an agreeable & affordable room rate. This prompt attention to my needs was unexpected, and greatly appreciated. The Starbucks in the lobby had a unique menu. It was open for the very early risers with billing to my room, if I liked. The breakfast buffet was outstanding!! Great service and nice entertainment all day. The beach attendant was a very kind gentleman, showing us to our own cabana while attending to others, serving both a tray of iced water and later a tray of fresh pineapple appetizers.
