"If you are staying here, watch out for the extra charges. When we got back home and checked our bank account, there was an extra $300 charge for who knows what. When we tried to contact the resort, they were EXTREMELY difficult to deal with. No one can tell us what the charge is for and can't do anything about it? It's a beautiful place, but after the extra charges, I would have rather stayed at a Motel 6!" - Nick from Portland, Oregon

"We feel the Villa del Palmar Resort in Cabo San Lucas is one that you should avoid. Check-in took approximately 2-1/2 hours because there were only two employees working the front desk. We were not even offered a glass of water considering how hot and stuffy the lobby was. At check-in, we were not offered a key for the safe. The employees were extremely rude and every time we asked a question, no one could help us. There are two pools and a water slide. One of the pools and the slide were out of commission. The pool closes at 11pm but by 10:15pm the staff turned off the lights even though people were still in there. One night, they even poured in the chemicals while I was still in there. The rooms were decent, but the beds way to small. The air-conditioner didn't work properly. Even though we have a temperature control. I believe it is controlled centrally. Our room never got cold. It was just cool. We ordered drinks by the pool and it took 40 minutes to get them. The time-share people harass everyone. They actually chase you down when you try to leave the resort in the morning. Don't go. You will regret it. We did. We will never go again and we will not recommend it to anyone either." - Anna from Los Angeles, Calif.
