"We are owners of 1 floating week for a 2-br sleeps six unit. Our complaints are many. The maintenane fee is now $936/year. It keeps going up. 2014 Maintenance fees no longer due Jan 2014. Nor December 2013. Now due Nov 2013 for 2014. When you pay the fees via mail, you do not see that they include some foundation fee, a medical insurance fee - all optional online but never see via mail. If you want to do qtrly payments, they add a $9.37 service fee for each payment. When using a credit card to pay maintenance fee, it "may" take 72 hours to clear - 3 business days. This is to catch people that pay on the due date and incur late fees of $75. It's a credit card, not a check. We would not buy there, if we had to do over. No way. We paid off the loan the same year we we purchased it." - Curtis from Minneapolis, Minnesota

"It was my first time in Cabo with my family and I loved it!!! My stay at The Villa Del Palmar Resort was an exquisite experience; beautiful and magnificent views, great foods and drinks and the hospitality from the staff was excellent and kid friendly. Special thanks to Ivan( bellman), Salvadore (front desk receptionist), Yeni/Alexandra/Hugo (activities coordinators), Roberto (waiter at Beachfront restaurant), Juan (waitor by pool side), Frank and Jasmin (at photo center), and Emelia and Hildalga (housekeeping). I went to a nearby hotel which was nice but wasn't impressed as Villa Del Palmar. I would definitely come back the next time!" - Michelle from Lakewood, California

"If you are staying here, watch out for the extra charges. When we got back home and checked our bank account, there was an extra $300 charge for who knows what. When we tried to contact the resort, they were EXTREMELY difficult to deal with. No one can tell us what the charge is for and can't do anything about it? It's a beautiful place, but after the extra charges, I would have rather stayed at a Motel 6!" - Nick from Portland, Oregon

"We feel the Villa del Palmar Resort in Cabo San Lucas is one that you should avoid. Check-in took approximately 2-1/2 hours because there were only two employees working the front desk. We were not even offered a glass of water considering how hot and stuffy the lobby was. At check-in, we were not offered a key for the safe. The employees were extremely rude and every time we asked a question, no one could help us. There are two pools and a water slide. One of the pools and the slide were out of commission. The pool closes at 11pm but by 10:15pm the staff turned off the lights even though people were still in there. One night, they even poured in the chemicals while I was still in there. The rooms were decent, but the beds way to small. The air-conditioner didn't work properly. Even though we have a temperature control. I believe it is controlled centrally. Our room never got cold. It was just cool. We ordered drinks by the pool and it took 40 minutes to get them. The time-share people harass everyone. They actually chase you down when you try to leave the resort in the morning. Don't go. You will regret it. We did. We will never go again and we will not recommend it to anyone either." - Anna from Los Angeles, Calif.
