The Barcelo Tucancun All-Inclusive Resort has just been renovated after Hurricanne Wilma. The hotel is better than ever. The Tucancun Hotel is located right in the heart of the Cancun hotel zone. The beach has been rebuilt with crystal white Caribbean sand. The Tucan Resort Hotel has four restaurants, three pools a swim-up bar and complete health spa. The 4 star Barcelo Tucancun All-Inclusive Resort offers a great variety of culinary delights, activities and sports in a care-free and relaxed setting which has made it one of the most popular Cancun hotels.

"They had us double pay for internet. Everything you do with them, get a receipt. The resort is not infant, toddler, or disable friendly. There is a lot of stairs and people who need accessibility have a hard time getting around or is next to impossible. For toddlers you cannot take food outside the restaurants. We had to sneak food out for my one year old because he eats small amounts at a time. If you are single, a couple or have never been to a 5 star hotel this place will be great for you." - Jane from Toronto, Canada

"We took our daughter and her friend to the resort for Spring Break staying in a 2 bedroom time share. The accomadations were huge with a large master bedroom, large living room and kitchen area and a good size quest room. The staff was very friendly and the facilities were extremely well kept. The staff was always working on the grounds and any issues we had were addressed quickly. The pool and beach area were outstanding with our master bedroom being approximately 50 feet from the ocean, a real life heaven on earth picture. The only draw back we experienced was with the all-inclusive meal plan. The choices available for dinner were OK but they could use more of a choice of meals. Overall we would "HIGHLY" recommend the hotel for families with teenagers as there did not appear to be lots of activities for younger kids, not that we looked. We would also HIGHLY recommend the facility for those looking to relax and enjoy the sun!!" - Bill, from Long Island, N.Y.

"This is my 1st time in cancun and i thought it was very very very good. The staff were kind and funny and they do their jobs properly. The rooms were comfortable and were kept clean and the balcony had a nice view. The swimming pools were good and pool 3 kept everyone entertained by playing games with everyone and giving out prizes. The location was good because there is a shopping center opposite the road and also one 5 mins walk away too. The food is good because there is a variety of different items to choose from. The shows are very good aswell. The entertainment staff put on wonderful shows every evening. Thank you for my holiday ."

"The food was good for an all-inclusive; had a variety, but not enough vegetables. The staff was very attentive to the guests. The grounds and buildings were well maintained; the staff was always cleaning. The entertainment lacked, there never seemed to be any guests in the shows. The rooms were very comfortable (we had to be moved after the first night - 1st room the beds were VERY firm; 2nd room the beds were JUST RIGHT). For first experience with

"We traveled to this resort as a group with 1, 3 , and 5 year old kids. This is not a place for children. They enjoyed playing in the pools however the kids pool was a disappointment and there were no toys for the kids. Kids play area was small and very close to a ledge that overlooked a big drop off. These are located every where. Really watch your kids. Not enough high chairs in resort. Staff were really good with children though.
Rooms were nice, allthough not all equal. Be sure to get one with a balcony! Beds were so hard it was difficult to sleep, and at 1pm (nap time for kids) constant sounds of chairs being drug across tile floors. Found the rooms were very clean at the beginning of the week, and then slacked off as the week progressed. Not very nice to have a garbage can full of dirty diapers left in 32+ weather. Air conditioning worked very well. Showers temperature did fluctuate but this was kind of refreshing.
Food was alright. Lots of selection, but same things over and over. Would be nice to see actual Mexican food there instead of hamburgers. Again service seemed good at beginning but slacked off as the week progressed. Note that even though ALL INCLUSIVE includes gratuities, they still EXPECT more. Not that I am against tipping above and beyond for a job well done, but it should be for just that, a job well done.
We noticed the pools seemed to be clean at the beginning of the week and by the end of the week you could see the film on the water. At times there were cigarette butts floating in the water too.
Entertainment was bad. Same dancers every night, all shows after 9 so too late for the kids, and too loud for the kids. Not enough clothes on the dancers for a family show. Would have liked to see something for the children in this resort.
Drinks I found to be weak if anything in them at all, but my husbands were strong. I was allowed to only get a drink for myself, while he could get one for me and himself. This I found irratating.

" I took my family for the first time out to cancun, I was very nervous. Once we got to the hotel we had the best time of our life. we did book through apple vacations, this is the best thing to do. apple vacation had 2 representatives all day at the hotel for questions. we had a wonderful time the hotel was nice clean, pool area,beach was very well kept. got a little bored with the food i would have liked it if they served more mexican food, however, it was hamburgers,pizza and hot dogs for the five days we stayed. they did have a large variety of fruits and vegtables. just a littl disappointed since i was looking forward to mexican food. but over all it was wonderful we just went in july and i am already trying to make plans to go out in december. would highly recommend this to my friends and family." - Daldish, from Cleveland.
