"My wife and I are in our early 30's and just got back from Temptation. We had a wonderful time. Our room over looked the sexy pool followed by the ocean. It was wonderful. We spent all of our time by the sexy pool. That is the place were most people stay. Most of the women were topless. The activities were fun but some were very adult in nature. If you are offended by a little nudity, you shouldn't go to this resort or at least hang out by the quiet pool where things are more laid back (or so I hear). The restuarants are wonderful and the food is great. We ate at all 4 restuarants while we were there and didn't have anything that wasn't good. The wait staff is excellent. I would definitely recommend the resort to anyone who is looking for a fun resort away without kids." - Rick from Rochester, Minnesota

"Because of the recent "Swine Flu Scare" and the World Health Organizations warnings about non-essential travel in Mexico, the occupancy of the resort was extremely low. This was the explanation my friend and I were given as to why many of the daytime and evening activities advertised on the website had been canceled or changed. It also was the explanation as to why certain restaurants were closed while we were there. Also, the resort had been represented to my friend and I as a "singles resort," and yet, most of the guest there were couples. This made it a bit difficult to mingle with other guests. I will admit that the rooms were clean and well maintained although because of the humidity, the bedding (covers and decorative pillows) did have a soured smell. Each and every member of the staff was friendly and very helpful." - Giget from Lake Texoma, Oklahoma

"This year was our third year back. Entertainment is awesome at the sexy pool. The food definitely improved over the past 2 years with a new 24-hour food station which was awesome. The night-time entertainment was awesome. The prizes for the contests were super and all-in- all we would go back again for a 4th time. Love the atmosphere, the staff, food, rooms, pools everything...highly recommend it." - Melissa from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

"We had a really good time. There were plenty of options for day time entertainment, volleyball, contests, kayaking, etc. The food was great at the buffet and the restaurants were all amazing. I would make it a point to make sure you get into the Italian place (our favorite). Making reservations only took about 20 minutes, not a big deal. The night-time activities were fun but seemed to get quiet early. Although the open bar by our room was often loud because of the music, we were so close to all of the pools and buffet that it was worth putting up with the noise in the evenings. We went out a few nights to the clubs that the resort offered transportation to and VIP passes with free booze for about 40 bucks. Very fun to mingle with other Temptation guests and dance. The cast and crew at Temptation Cancun were all lively and fun. The only need for improvement was the room service and even after our air conditioner had been "fixed" it still leaked." - Jess from New York City, New York

"We stayed here for 8 nights in November 2008. We booked through the RCI. This meant we were staying on a "room-only" basis. We could not get food or drink at any time as the hotel had no facilities for paying for food or drink.......this made the stay a complete nightmare. We were very hungry the evening we arrived and even though there are 4 restaurants we could not get any food as we were not all-inclusive guests. We did not care about having to pay, but we were not even able to pay, so we went to bed hungry! The beach was one of the worst I have ever seen, the water was full of sea weed and rocks, the sand stretch was tiny and there was a marina at each side. The room cleaners were excellent, however the rooms smelled of dampness and sewage." - James & Louise from Kerry, Ireland

"We have been to Blue Bay / Temptation Cancun about 10 times. We have also been to Desire Resort about the same number of times. They are both great. Temptation does have more fun activities in the afternoons. The rooms and the food are great. The staff at Temptation Cancun is wonderful. They add to having a great time. Temptation does have a younger crowd, which for me is fine. We are definitely going back." - Matthew & Kimberly from Dallas, Texas

"We were very upset the minute we walked in. The staff was very nasty and they lied and just pull your leg on anything you ask for until they hope you get tired of asking. The manager at the front desk was rude and very unprofessional. The room smelled like mold every time you turned on the AC. One good thing was the food was okay but the drinks are watered down and when your not looking top brand liquor is not what they are using to make your drinks. The worst part was the pool was filled with Fungus all around the rim and that was nasty. There are many other hotels in Cancun that I would go to spend my vacation. Also there is NO BEACH there so don't believe them if they tell you there is..And be careful of them selling you a time-share. They promise you everything and you get nothing, they call it the "WELCOME TOUR". They stated someone would come and show us all around so we knew where everything was located. After 1 hour of the "Welcome Tour" or TIME-SHARE they won't stop harassing you to buy. Watch out!!" - Bill from New York City, New York

"Our arrival at the Temptation Resort and Spa was early so we walked around for a while waiting for check in time at 3PM. Back to the check-in counter at 3 to pick up the key, the room is not ready... wait another half hour to finally get to the room with suitcases in tow for another 15 minutes... no one knows were the room is located. Our clothing is now sweaty and we are hot; the room is OK and modern, located a few step from the main lobby, luckily we have a newly renovated room with only the noise of air conditioning unit humming. We get unpacked and are invited to a tour of the facilities in the morning... Do not take this tour . This is a time-share and a total waste of time with sale pressure at its best ... The restaurants have excellent food, but again there is a catch... you need to reserve between 10 and 12 AM... there is a line from 9 am on most days; when you get to reserve the remaining times are 9PM and this is when the best activities take place; the shows are short about half hour so you eat or you go to the show ... this waiting is pretty bad... so your choice is you eat in a nice restaurant or view a show or go on an organized visit for the day... your choice is limited to one of those per day, might seem like a lot but it is not... you are taking an entire day to plan a half hour show or a dinner or an excursion somewhere. Free Drinks: This seems to be the reason most people comes to Temptation. Many start drinking at 10am and go on into the middle of the night. The booze you will be drinking all day is made in China... no joke! Ask for the good stuff, they do have some unless they simply fill the bottles with the cheap stuff. If you ask for a Baily you get something that is the same color and a bit sweeter and probably made in China. The wine is from Spain and pretty good. You tip when you get a drink and you get better and more booze in your drinks." - Denis from Constable, New York

"We had stayed in this hotel before, when it was called Blue Bay Getaway. With this new name: TEMPATION, the concept has totally changed! And it is getting better!! My husband and I loved this new concept. The staff is always willing to help you. The quality of the food is incredible. The best lasagna I ever tried is in there, in one of its specialty restaurants named IL Piacere. Another thing that we just loved was the lingerie fashion show! Everything was a great experience!! We are anxious to come back, hopefully in summer. And I highly recommend this hotel!" - Daniela from Miami, Florida

"We were extremely pleased with our visit to the Blue Bay Getaway, soon to be the Temptation Resort. The staff was extremely helpful, courteous, and professional. The resort is great, and we had an amazing time. However, there are several things I wish we had known before coming. First, the resort is at the end of the hotel strip and is quite a ways away from the Cancun restaurant and nightlife. This might be good to know if you want to be in the thick of it. The bus is really no problem, though, and runs 24 hours. We liked being a little out of it, finding it more peaceful and not as crowded. The resort is also on the Bay making the beach a little smaller and rockier than other resorts. It is still quite lovely and nice. If you like quiet, be SURE to request a room by the "Quiet Pool," and we would also recommend staying on the third floor if you value your privacy. Know that all Superior rooms are on the FIRST floor, so this might not be worth the extra cost. We stayed in the regular "Deluxe Room" and it was fantastic; we also travel a lot and were still so pleased with the quality. We stayed in a newly renovated room for the Temptation Resort and is was beautifully decorated and very clean. PLEASE tip your maid every day as they are underpaid and appreciate it very much. They will definitely go the extra mile. Also, GO SLIVER!!! I cannot emphasize this enough. You will be able to eat at the three a la carte restaurants every night, and this is DEFINITELY WORTH IT. My French boyfriend is a gourmet and the Italian, Seafood, and especially the Asian restaurant are on par with any four or five star restaurant in terms of presentation and taste, as far as we are concerned. The buffet restaurants dont even come close. They are two-star AT BEST. This makes the Go Silver! program worth it by itself, but it also gives you water in your room each day (that you have to request)and an unimpressive breakfast and lunch room service, too. GO SILVER!!!
Also, MAKE SURE YOU PRINT OUT ALL THE PAPERWORK INCLUDING THE INFORMATION SHEET ON THE BLUE BAY /TEMPTATION RESORT WEBSITE. You can find this with Google. When we checked in, they tried to give us the Go Blue program and we had to insist on receiving a la carte coupons for each night. This is our only service complaint. The staff is incredible and will make your stay inviting and fun! Also, please know that in talking with the staff, we found out the most resort workers make less than US $7.00 a day, so definitely tip even though the package says gratuity is included. This is just decent. You are going to Mexico to take advantage of the weather, culture, and service, so please be appropriate! A little goes a long way. And make sure you see one of the new seven wonders of the world, Chichen Itza! It is incredible, and the Best Day tour was excellent. Our tour guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. Make sure you swim in the cavern! All in all, the resort is incredibly beautiful and the staff far exceeded our expectations, the tours were awesome, the a la carte food was exceptional, and our room was beautiful and comfortable. What else could you ask for? Great value if you GO SILVER!!!." - Brooke & Xavier from Ann Arbor, Michigan

"The best fricken time of my life!!! The Temptation Resort is awesome!! The activities are soooo much fun and the people are just as great. Everyone has a free spirit and the staff are all very nice. They offer great Scuba Diving with a really good instructor and all of the best amenities. The only downside is that they don't have guest laundry and your clothes do start to stink after a few weeks! LOL! However, you can get them to do your laundry, but it costs about $6 American per garment. Besides that small downfall, out of the 6 Mexican resorts I've stayed at, this is by far the best!! Will definitely go back.!" - Sarah from Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada
