Here's our Royal Hideaway Playacar Review

The Royal Hideaway Playacar is a 5 star beachfront villa style property, located on 13 acres of one of the most beautiful stretches of beach on the Yucatan Peninsula. The Royal Hideaway features winding rivers, waterfalls & fountains connecting the main building to the villas. The Royal Hideaway Playacar is an excellent choice for those looking for the amenities of an all inclusive resort, but with a more intimate villa style atmosphere.

Note: The Occidental Royal Hideaway Playacar was Conde Naste Magazine's December 2006 featured 5 Star All-Inclusive Resort.

Facilities:
200 Luxury Rooms, 7 Pools, 5 Restaurants including buffett and Ala Carte, 5 Bars, including a Cigar & Sports Bar, World Class Spa & Fitness Center, Jacuzzi, Lighted Tennis, Beauty Salon, Bicycles, Billiards, Shopping Arcade, Cards, Darts, Table Tennis, Video Library.

"It was nice until they invite you to go to a chat breakfast and starts giving you free drinks starting with a champagne. Then like if you were in a interrogation they give you numbers, free stayings and all inclusive gives, if you accept buying vacations weeks in great volume. 100 or 150 paying in three years. So you make your numbers and think if this is what I'm spending in my next three hollidays, it is ok. Drinks come over and over. They tell you that you can sell your weeks to your friends and family and three years later you can sell it in a Travelling agengy. So you decide to sign. And then when the contract is made they show you some points, but changed it all. It is not what you've been explained. And when you get back home and try to use these vacation weeks they tell you to pay reservations for person for night and it came to be you pay againg what it was supposed to be paid already. It is a cheat. So be carefull because they won't let you cancell the contract (you only have 5 days) at least not until you pay 20 percent extra of the total of contract. US $4,000. "We have stayed at The Royal Hideaway Ressort in Playacar 3 times in the past. It is luxurious and they know how to make you feel special. We love everything about it is fabulous. The grounds are magnificient for such a small 13 acres area. The privacy on the grounds if you need it, the private pools. Great restaurants and entertainement. Attentive staff, they anticipate your needs. Its a small place of Heaven in a beautiful spot on earth. Love the wonderful Mexican nights by the pool. I cannot stop talking about the resort to by friends, and many of them have also shared their vacation experience at the Royal Hideaway, and they all felt the same way. We love it so much we are returning in April for our 4th stay with them, and anxious to have the Royal Hideaway experience again." - Irene from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
