Any discussion of things to do in Playa del Carmen needs to start with the beaches. The Riviera Maya and the Playa del Carmen resort areas have some of the best beach areas in the Caribbean. Many are swimable and almost all have great white sand beach areas. The whole Playa scene revolves around the beaches.

The whole Playa scene revolves around the beach. Playa del Carmen is a great Mexican beach-town with the main "calle" or street running parallel to the beach. This is 5th Avenue known as Quinta Avenida. Along 5th avenue there is hotels, shopping, restaurants and night clubs. It's a great place to see and be seen.

At night Playa del Carmen hops! There are lots of bars and clubs along the strip. The musica is everywhere with Reggae, Mexican, Salsa and Cuban.

Playa del Carmen is a clean and nice resort area with lots of beautiful resorts, restaurants and nightlife. We think you will find Playa del Carmen a fabulous vacation choice!
