"If you are looking for terrible and unfriendly service. If you are looking for terrible food, and spoiled fruits. If you are planning on not sleeping through the night because of all the noise you can hear through the paper thin walls and the rock hard bed...then Riu Palace Las Americanas is the place for you!" - Nelly from Los Angeles, California

"This was our third visit and we will return. This hotel offers the best of everything. Great service. Great lodging. Great food. Overall, I can't find anything to complain about. This hotel is fairly priced although not inexpensive and value received is well worth it. If you want a quiet, relaxing vacation this is the place to go." - David from Wethersfield, Connecticut

"Want to go back today! Was there with my sister and husband as 2 couples and what a resort. You never had to leave everything was right there for you from early morning to late at night. Walked over to the sister hotel was not as nice, but a pleasure. You were never without a drink in your hand while at the resort. Food was great, had a dinner at the specialty steak house but went back the next night to the open buffet, lots of food. Looking into next year at the Rui in Los Cabos. CANT WAIT." - Sharrill from Jamaica, New York

"Overall, the hotel was amazing! The food was great and the restaurants provided a lot of options. Its normal to have to put in reservations a day or two before, so we had no issues. The rooms were clean and fully functioning and the staff was more than happy to allow you to switch rooms if you wanted a better view or just plainly disliked it. The bar in the room as well as the rest of the hotel was filled with premium liquor which is a bonus in Mexico because you really won't see that at too many hotels. Premium tequila too! The pool area was the only thing that wasn't amazing, but was still very enjoyable. The pools were clean and very well kept, but both were really small for a hotel that size and it was really hard to do the activities that were provided for the pool specifically and we found that it was very hard to get a place around the pool because of its size. The pools as well as the resort were missing music! Only one of the pools had music, but it seems to be they want a relaxing atmosphere. Pool was overall good. The beach was excellent! One of the cleanest beaches ever with a lot of chairs and tables. The service on the beach from the staff was great and they were always around to take orders...pretty rare at other places where you would usually end up going to the bar yourself or there just are no servers. The only thing that was odd was how narrow the beach was but I think that the big hurricane that hit a few years ago played a big part in that. Well...overall a great experience with the staff. They were all friendly and willing to answer any questions. Yup, thats about it for that. I highly recommend this hotel because not only do you get to enjoy the facilities and the all inclusiveness at the Palace, you also get to enjoy the Riu next door and the other Riu down the strip if youd like a change. Downtown is a short walk away if you want to party and crawl back!!! =) Awesome place...just wish they had surf boards!" - Tina from Ontario, Canada

"When we arrived we were able to get into the room right away, the toilet seat was broken, we called, they said someone would be right up. After four days and many phone calls we finally got it fixed. The refrigerator in our room broke down about the 5th day we were there and took over 24 hours to fix, as my husband needs his medication refrigerated. The evening dining options were "0" if you did not have a reservation days in advance, when Im on vacation I do not plan that far ahead. Bar/lounge was dark and had an strong spoiled milk odor. Pool activities were hard to find. It is within walking distance to others places you can enjoy!" - Susan from Akron, Ohio

"We complained about the standard at Riu Playacar where the beds felt damp and room was below 4-Star standard and without question were upgraded to The Riu Palace.
We thought we had died and went to Heaven. It is fit for Royalty I swear I will go back as soon as is possible. The rooms are large fresh and we even mentioned we did not drink Brandy and the minibar was immediately replenished with Baileys Liqueur instead. There are 4 optics in every room as well as the well stocked minibar. Food was dreamy (champagne and smoked Salmon at breakfast if you desire ) 5 additional restaurants made boredom unlikely. Pool and beach magnificent -as are the staff who bring room service with a smile at the drop of a hat . I would have left Mexico with a negative impression if I judged it by the first hotel. just see for yourself." - Frances and Donnie from Glasgow, Scotland
