Outrigger Reef on the Beach

The Outrigger Reef on the Beach has been transformed into a truly deluxe Waikiki Beach Resort. The hotel has just completed a multi-million dollar renovation that upgraded the entire facility. The main tower underwent major construction that reduced the number of rooms from 883 to 639, increasing the square footage of the remaining rooms. This decision was made primarily to increase the size of the bathrooms which were very small. The lobby area has been opened up and totally refurbished. The entrance is now fronted with a wooden pineapple shaped overhang for protection from the Sun and rain when driving up. This resort has now achieved its potential with this renovation.

The Outrigger Reef on the Beach is centrally located in the heart of Waikiki. The "Reef" as it is commonly known, is on a prime section of Waikiki Beach right in the center everything.

The Outrigger Reef on the Beach has a large pool area which is great for sunning and offers beverage and food service poolside. Spend the morning swimming and sunning on the beach and then walk over to the pool later in day for drinks and food. The Reef has a number of dining options of which, the Shorebird Bar & Restaurant is the most famous and is right on the beach. The Outrigger Reef On The Beach Hotel is a favorite of many.

Tip: The least expensive standard rooms at the hotel are very dark due to the shadow of the hotel next door. Book Pool-View or Partial Ocean-View room category rooms or better.
