Yelapa Beach - This Puerto Vallarta beach is south of town and a great place to spend the day. The beach front Palm Trees provide shade and a place to relax. There are beach front restaurants to fill your appetite with fresh seafood and Mariscos. The best way to enjoy Yelapa Beach is to take one of the tour boats that leave every day from the Marina. Most of the boats provide music, cervezas and finger-food. They will also stop by Los Arcos for a hour or so of snorkeling.
Mismaloya Beach - Located 15 minutes south of Downtown Puerto Vallarta, Mismaloya is a wide stretch of sandy beach fronted by the Barcelo La Jolla de Mismaloy and Dreams Puerto Vallarta Hotels.
Las Glorias Beach - In the heart of the Hotel Zone minutes north of Downtown Puerto Vallarta. A nice wide conveniently located beach to spend time relaxing.
Bucerias Beach - Located in 20 minutes north in the Nuevo Vallarta area. Bucerias Beach is popular for body surfing and swimming due to the mostly gentle surf. Buceria Beach has beach side cafes ans Palapas for rent.
Destiladeras Beach - Located in 40 minutes north in the Punta Mita area. This wide, sandy secluded beach is perfect for relaxing and sunning.
Things To Do in Puerto Vallarta
Stroll the Malecon - A tradition in Mexican Beach towns is the Malecon which is an ocean-front promenade that extends 3 or 4 miles in length. The Malecon in Puerto Vallarta is one of the best. It offers beautiful views of Banderas Bay and provide a backdrop to fine restaurants, night clubs and shopping. The Puerto Vallarta Malecon is the place to see and be seen.
Jungle Tour - Take a Jungle Canopy Tour of the thick rainn forest area south of town near Mismaloya. Many of the tours offer Zip Lining and ATV riding. See rivers, jungle animals and beautiful scenery.
Swim with the Dolphins - Puerto Vallarta offers the Dolphin Encounter for a truly awesome experience.
Go Fishing - There are many boats in the Marina Vallarta that provide tourists with a day of fishing. Boats provide a bilingual crew, bait, tackle. Most have food and drinks available for purchase.
