"I have stayed at very many nice hotels and this ranks in the top 5 for me! The view from all the rooms are incredible. The environment and presentation of the lobby and resort is amazing. The pool is spectacular! Especially with the bar in the pool....way too convenient! Although I was there during hurricane Henrietta (only cat. 1) the staff and resort did a great job of accommodating the guests, considering this hotel has never had a hurricane experience before. Shuttles to anywhere. Restaurant was very pleasant and food was well above average. But there are plenty of nice places to eat in Cabo. I recommend Miguelocos! Tell them Mike and Josefina say hi! Pleasant travels!" - Mike & Josefina from Chicago, Illinois

"Great place to relax and enjoy fine food, a beautiful beach and great service. We spent 14 days there and enjoyed every moment. You have to make it clear, perfectly clear, that your not interesteed in a timeshare, unless you are..... The resort is perect for a couple. No children, nice and quiet. The pools are perfect and the food is great. No need to go to town unless you want to party. If you go, get a massage and enjoy yourself...." - Robert from Sunnyvale, California

"In April, 2007 we spent five nights at the Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Holistic Retreat and Spa in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. It was advertised as a 5-star very relaxing resort. It was anything but. We had a guaranteed and confirmed reservation. Because our flight to Cabo was delayed, we arrived at the hotel on April 13 at 12:20 AM. When we arrived, the night manager told us that due to a reservation systems error they were overbooked. He said we would have to go stay at Pueblo Bonito Blanco in downtown Cabo San Lucas for at least the night and possibly longer. We finally got to our room (#1334) at 2 PM and we were pleased to see that it was clean and had a king-size bed and was not dumpy, old and musty like the Blanco room. On two occasions after housekeeping cleaned our room, we had to call for an extra washcloth since only one had been left in the room. Our reservation clearly had two people in our room so I dont know why housekeeping insisted on only leaving one washcloth. I also noticed that the rooms on either side of ours had Pueblo Bonito slippers in them but our room did not. Housekeeping obviously needs a checklist of things to do for each room in order to make sure that the correct Activities Schedule and number of washcloths are in each room and any other miscellaneous items are put in the room, too. We were also disappointed to find no drain plug or basin stopper for the bathroom sink. I needed to hand wash some clothing and when the sink doesnt hold water that makes it difficult. We made two calls requesting a stopper/sink plug, but were ultimately told that they didnt exist at Pacifica. However, a bucket was provided for our hand washing needs. We travel regularly and frequent many five-star hotels and resorts, and have seldom encountered any problems at all at other properties, let alone the long list of service failures we encountered at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica. We would not recommend this hotel." -Janet from Lees Summit, Missouri

"This place is absolutely beautiful! With scents of soothing lavender I felt relaxed as soon as I walked in. However, as a frequent traveler, this resort seemed a little "off". The staff were overly friendly and became annoying. I was constantly asked for my room number....WIERD!!!! The owners home to left of the property was highy guarded; guests were not allowed to fully walk the beach due to the supposedly "turtle nesting". It seems as though the owner doesnt want people near his home and the guards are contstantly planted to keep you off his "public" beach. Our room had a fantastic view but, it was a little too small. The in-room coffee packets which are always complimentary in any other hotel Ive stayed in had a $4.00 sticker tag and the water bottle was $13.00 .... US dollars not Pesos!!!! They were even chintzy on replacing the toiletries. Yoga classes were not included; there were charges for all exercise classes. The spa treatments were some of the best Ive had. Room service was very good and a much cheaper alternative to the on-site restaurants. After traveling throughout Mexico, to me, Cabo is an extension of the States. I wouldn't recommend South Baja...lacking indigenous people and culture....too expensive!!!" - Lisa from Miami, Florida

"Check in was a problem from the get-go & they would not honor our room that I booked. I had a gift certificate for the spa. They said that they needed to see it in writing. I provided my receipt from Expedia, they still said no. This staff member was not friendly and could care less about my issue. Asked to talk with the manager, she was just about unfriendly as the clerk at the counter. So, as you can see I didn't get the room booked and/or the certificate. The next day, came back to our room at noon, room not cleaned not big issue, they will do it later. Came back at 4:30. Still nothing done. Called the front desk saying we need towels to take a shower for dinner and our room was still not cleaned. They brought two towels, apologized for missing our room but will come back after 6:00 PM. Came back at 9:30PM room was never touched. had to get the night manager (which was very nice I think they need to promote him up to permanent manager and get rid of that useless one they have in the daytime) involved to get our room cleaned. Finally after 10:15PM our room was clean. The next two days the room was cleaned on time. Here is my two cents on this place : - the rooms are just a glorified Holiday Inn. Two beds, TV, small bathroom, nothing to write home about - the grounds are OK, nothing earth shattering & pumped some odd music out thought-out the swim area. The smell of whatever the aroma was inside the hotel kind of made you ill - the pools were OK, nothing like the Hilton. If you got to the pool after 12 noon, hard to find a chair - couldn't swim in the ocean. Couldn't even walk the public beach. See the review dated Feb 13, 2007. The guards protecting the owners house down the beach was about ready to tackle you if you continued - I heard this hotel in nothing but a holding area for the time-share presentation that they will hit you with. You are also isolated & this is the last hotel in Cabo" - Kevin from Charlotte, North Carolina
