The Posada Real Los Cabos is a nice little low rise, beach-front Mexican style hotel. With it's Earth tone colors and immaculate cactus garden, the Posada Real blends in with the Baja desert. The typically 3-star appointed Rooms feature a balcony and purified water system. The Posada Real Los Cabos features two restaurants, two bars, room service, a heated swimming pool, two beachfront jacuzzis, a lighted tennis court and a variety of watersports. The Posada Real Los Cabos is situated on a wide stretch of beach that is great for for sunbathing, but is unsafe to swim due to strong undertow currents.

The rooms are nothing fancy, but they are very clean and well-maintained. Our room-service even decorated our beds with bows one night! We had a great view, a wonderful veranda, A/C, and a fridge. A few more outlets would have been nice, but it was manageable. The pool was a decent size and had a swim-up bar and a volleyball net. There was a shallow end for kids, but adults hung out there too. The bar opened at 11am and played popular American music most of the afternoon. There were numerous lawnchairs around the pool in the cement area and then many more near-by in the sand underneath "palapa" umbrellas. The computer had high-speed internet. The gym was shabby, but I spent most of my time outside. The food was great - fresh fruit for breakfast, eggs, bacon, toast, cereal, omlettes however you like it. A large variety every night for dinner. Sometimes chocolate cake or flan for desert. For lunch you can eat buffet style in the hotel or down by the pool. Quesadillas, nachos, even club sandwhiches and the BEST papas fritas! (French fries) My favorite part of this trip was the service. From morning until night we were welcomed with smiles and hospitality. The boys at the front desk answered all our questions and guided us to San Jose with a small map and also instructed us on how to use the bus systems. They spoke VERY good english and were so nice to us. Out of all the interactions I had in Mexico I felt the least pressured to tip while at the Best Western. If you want a quiet relaxing vacation, this is definately the place to stay. Along with the unbelievable price for an all inclusive, round-trip airfare and all transfers for two for a week under $2.000.00 It can't be beat. Don't go if you're looking for loud music, great night life or lots of water sports (which are available at other motels close by). The staff is wonderful and the peacefulness is incredible.
