Here's our Best Western Plantation Hale Kauai Review
The Best Western Plantation Hale Kauai is a Budget condominium complex located across the street from Coconut Beach. The Plantation Hale has 138 one-bedroom, garden-view accommodations. No ocean views. The property has 3 pools, BBQ's, laundry facilities and is across the street from Coconut Beach. This beach can get quite windy in the afternoons and the currents make swimining not advisable, but it is wide and long making for great walks. The Plantation Hale Kauai Condo is a bit tired, but is popular with families and those on a budget.

"Kauai is known for its beauty and non-commercial ambiance. If you want a truly Hawaiian experience you must stay with REAL Hawaiians who naturally embody the true Spirit of Aloha, and I know of no better place than Plantation Hale condos conveniently located at the entrance to the famous Coconut Marketplace. The Kapaa/Wailua area I find to be the perfect location to stay at and the ideal location to explore the rest of the island. Take the Wailua river tour to the Fern grotto or rent a kayak and explore it on your own and take your time seeing the sights. from the house used in the John Wayne classic "Donovans Reef" to the very spot where "Indiana Jones" jumped into the river fleeing from the "Hovetos" in the first "Indiana Jones" film. Movie locations abound all over Kauai, from the hotel where Elvis tied the knot in "Blue Hawaii", to the makeout beach from The movie "From Here To Eternity", not to forget the high jagged cliffs from the original "King Kong"; and Plantation Hale is in the middle of it all." - Dennis & Gloria from San Francisco, California

"Absolutely BEAUTIFUL, PERFECT resort. We will stay here every time we visit the islands now. The staff was wonderful. We stayed in the Honeymoon Suite and it was fantastic. Only a few feet away from the beach, you can lay with the doors open and feel the fresh breeze. Best Vacation ever. If you go to Kauai, you absolutely MUST stay here."- Ulrike from Quebec, Canada
