Aston Papakea Resort

The Aston Papakea Resort is a popular choice of many vacationers who want a reasonable Kaanapali condo. The Aston at Papakea is situated on 13 landscaped acres of prime Kaanapali resort area. While the Papakea Resort Maui is located oceanfront it does not have a beach in front of the resort.

Rooms now have air-conditioning which is a huge improvement. Most of the units have been refurbished and are nicely appointed. While the Papakea's three star accommodations are nice and comfortable, the location is what makes the Papkea Maui Condo such a popular choice. Right in the center of the Kaanapali beach area.

The Aston Papakea Resort is a good choice for families wanting something a bit nicer than budget, but still want a good value.

Facilities:
364 Rooms, 4 Floors, 2 Pools, Jacuzzi, Lighted Tennis, Laundry, BBQs

"We just recently returned to Maui and had a great multi-family vacation at the Papakea. There were 4 families and we all booked thru different sources. Because these are all individually owned, they were all unique. We booked thru VRBO.com and were very pleased with the unit. (G-102) We were in a ground floor unit that had been nicely remodeled. They had a granite and stainless kitchen that was stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. Liked that the bedrooms were at opposite ends of the condo for privacy. We frequently barbecued in the pool area, which was so convenient and relaxing. We loved being on the ground floor, because we could all just come and go so easily to the beach or pool without the elevator. Our unit was garden-view, but it was next to a Koi pond and just a few steps to the beach. Most of the party would end up at our place because of the convenience of being downstairs. We loved listening to the fountain at night and all the kids in our party got a big kick out of chasing frogs around the pond. We also appreciated the washer and dryer in the unit. We could come back from the beach and throw in our clothes. We will not pack as many clothes next time, because with the washer and dryer we did not need them. We also loved the putting green. This place was great for the kids to be entertained. We saw the Ulalena South Pacific show and everyone in our party loved it. We also had a great time on a zipline!!! We will be back.... cant wait!" - Geri from Dallas, Texas

"This Resort is perfect for a family group that wants easy access to a Sandy Beach and not in a "Hotel" environment. Many of the Condos are privately owned and rented out individually by the Owners. Be sure to ask if it has been recently remodeled, as some of them are old, but the newer ones are an excellent value. Shopping is close(walking distance) and there is one of the nicest fresh fruit and veggie markets just down the street. The pool is very good(there are 2 of them) as well as a Hot tub, and the putting greens are fantastic. Overall, for the money(about $225.00USD) a night this is a very nice Resort." - Ed from Seattle, Washington

"This was a girls week get-a-way for us. There is no dining at this resort but they have nice BBQ grills along poolside with tables. We stocked up at the grocery store for lots of relaxing around the pool. Sunsets were the greatest. Resort next door had dining and music and was about a 2 minute walk down the beach. It is about a 5-10 minute drive to shopping and food. Clean, full kitchen, washer and dryer, ocean view, 2 bedroom and 2 bath with a loft. A basic nice condo. A lot have been remodeled. (so we were told) Service was great, resort was clean and beautiful. Parking sucked. Lots of spaces available but it was like fighting to get one close to your condo. Never parked in the same place twice. Suggest owning a cart with wheels to help haul groceries or shopping items to your room. Would I stay here again???? You bet....kind of hoping to next year!!" - Jeri from Holbrook, Arizona.
