Here is our Papakea Resort Review:
The Papakea Resort Maui is a popular choice of many vacationers who want a reasonable Kaanapali condo. The Papakea Maui Condo is situated on 13 landscaped acres of prime Kaanapali resort area. While the Papakea Resort Maui is located oceanfront it does not have a beach in front of the resort.
Rooms have ceiling fans and now have air-conditioning which is a huge improvement. Most of the units have been refurbished and are nicely appointed. While the Papakea's three star accommodations are nice and comfortable, the location is what makes the Papkea Maui Condo such a popular choice. Right in the center of the Kaanapali beach area.
Facilities:
364 Rooms, 4 Floors, 2 Pools, Jacuzzi, Lighted Tennis, Laundry, BBQs.

Remarks:
"This was a girls week get-a-way for us. There is no dining at this resort but they have nice BBQ grills along poolside with tables. We stocked up at the grocery store for lots of relaxing around the pool. Sunsets were the greatest. Resort next door had dining and music and was about a 2 minute walk down the beach. It is about a 5-10 minute drive to shopping and food. Clean, full kitchen, washer and dryer, ocean view, 2 bedroom and 2 bath with a loft. A basic nice condo. A lot have been remodeled. (so we were told) Service was great, resort was clean and beautiful. Parking sucked. Lots of spaces available but it was like fighting to get one close to your condo. Never parked in the same place twice. Suggest owning a cart with wheels to help haul groceries or shopping items to your room. Would I stay here again???? You bet....kind of hoping to next year!! Remarks:
"This Resort is perfect for a family group that wants easy access to a Sandy Beach and not in a "Hotel" environment. Many of the Condos are privately owned and rented out individually by the Owners. Be sure to ask if it has been recently remodeled, as some of them are old, but the newer ones are an excellent value. Shopping is close(walking distance) and there is one of the nicest fresh fruit and veggie markets just down the street. The pool is very good(there are 2 of them) as well as a Hot tub, and the putting greens are fantastic. Overall, for the money(about $225.00USD) a night this is a very nice Resort."

Remarks:
"My Husband and i have been to the Papakea 4 times and are going again at the end of January. we love the Papakea resort because it has everything we need. it is our home away from home. the last 2 times we have been there we have went through a private owner. it is important to note that many of the condos are owned privately and therefore you really need to be aware that they are not consistent. every condo we have stayed in here HAS HAD air conditioning and i believe all have them. my advice would be to stay at the Papakea and shop for your own food! there are BBQs on site and all condos have kitchens and Lanais so eat out side. a couple nights a week go for dinner out.
Suggestions for a great dinner would be: Leilanis (have the lamb!), Renaissance Wailea (Palm Court), Cheeseburger in Paradise and Bubba Gumps for lunch! Take a Sunset cocktail cruise and definately go on a snorkel tour to Molokini! We try to do different things every time we go to Maui. Papakea is definately good value for your dollar!"

"We went for our anniversary. It was clean and the grounds were very pretty. The condo was nice, nothing fancy. It definitely had everything we needed. Great location and condo was stocked with everything we needed. we had a great trip.
I also liked that it was walking distance to shops and a few restaurants.
