"My family and I were in Nuevo Vallarta and staying at the Palladium for the first time. We were there for 7 days - the weather was great, the food was satisfactory and the service was not too bad. On our last evening there my 25 and 17 year old along with a friend decided to go to the "beach" party. They were out till about 2:30ish when all 3 returned to their individual rooms. The friend decided to go down to the sports bar for one more drink before calling it a night. He had had a couple of drinks but nothing more. He mistakenly went into the wrong building, onto the wrong floor and tried getting into what he thought was his room. His key did not fit but the door was partially ajar so he walked in only to be assaulted with a broken bottle. Once the occupant realized that it was not a break in,he apologized and mentioned to our friend that the night prior their room had been robbed and he thought that the perpetrator had returned. In the meantime security had been called and responded. Security escorted our friend back to his room where they ransacked it looking for who knows what. They then asked him for all of his money or they would call the Mexican police. My friend gave him his last $20 dollars so they left with money in hand in his spare room key. When he reported the incident to the front desk supervisor he was not well received. The next day was our last day and we were required to pay an additional $25.00 for the missing key which had not been turned in by security. I would like to make travellers aware of some of the things that do happen even if you are not looking for trouble. To my surprise my friend would still return to Mexico, but a little wiser. Myself I have been to Mexico numerous times and have never had such an experience. I too will be more cautious next time if there is a next time." - Rachelle from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

"We had an amazing time! The Palladium was 5-Star from the moment we checked in to the moment we left. The staff were always helpful and the concierge were fantastic. We stayed in the Royal Suites(which was always clean, mini bar stocked with beer and water and it was great soaking in the huge tub) we could not have asked for more. The restaurants were always excellent, but the BBQ on the beach was the best! The grounds and pool area on the adult side were always in immaculate condition. I loved walking around the resort, there was always so much to see. I would recommend the Palladium to fit, active people. There are so many bad reviews about the stairs and walking, exercise will not kill you! My only complaint would be the beach it was pretty rocky and the waves were a little to wild for my tastes. I guess I need to learn to surf. We took a bus into Bucerias a couple times to check out the market and to explore, it was cheap but the drivers are all crazy...we white knuckeled it the whole way! It was so much fun. *Reminder* sunscreen is a must, I burned to a crisp on our whale watching tour. I would recommend the Palladium to anyone (AS LONG AS YOU STAY IN THE ROYAL SUITES) upgrade and you will not regret it. " - Carla from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada

"It was my first time in Mexico and the resort was fantastic, awesome, amazing. Eeverything was wonderfull. The staff was so friendly and helpful and I like the idea that it has security so the people selling time-shares can't enter the resort due to bad experience my friends had. The fact that you can choose a different restuarant to eat everynight and the food was excellent. The activities I enjoyed tremendously because I like to exercise and the staff that gives the activities were outstanding. The shows were was breathtaking. I want to bring my family next year April to share the wonderful time I experienced. The zoo in the resort was a surprise. The barbeque on the beach was my favourite. And the aqafit- thanks peppi. I love you all and keep the good work rolling. I told everybody in Vancouver about the blast I had and will go back anytime." - Veronica from Vancouver, B.C.

"We really loved the resort, but would have enjoyed more beach to walk along. This one is quite rocky, so you can't go too far in either direction. The place is quite far from "The Action" which will be a consideration for some. Also, lots of stairs to climb which could pose a problem for some. I would recommend this resort for a family with younger children or for those who just want to really unwind and not do too much of anything except enjoy the sun, water, and fabulous food and drink." - Valerie from Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada

"NEVER, NEVER, NEVER again! What a shame that such a beautiful resort in such a great location has such "TERRIBLE" service and management. I spent a lot of money and had to complain from the moment I got there to the moment I left - they just dont care! Really bad communications. They don't really tell you the rules until they have to enforce them, hours of the pool, dress code for restaurant, their restaurant reservation policy, on and on. Lights went out at night for four hours, water went out of 8 hours . . .terrible. Don't let the web site fool you. Yes its beautiful, but not worth the frustration." - Nestor from Los Angeles

"I would NEVER stay at this resort again, dirty, too many stairs, food terrible about a 3 star resort at best. The entertainment was great and their entertainment staff was great. The place needs a thorough cleaning everywhere. I have stayed in many resorts throughout Mexico this was one of the worse ever." - Marlene from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
