Ohana Waikiki East
The Ohana Waikiki East is a part of the famous Outrigger Hotels Hawaii chain. The Ohana East hotel is 3 blocks from Waikiki Beach and located right at the back entrance of the International Marketplace. The hotel has a 2nd floor pool and a Round Table Pizza located next to the lobby and was recently renovated. The rooms are nicely appointed for a 3 star type hotel. The Ohana East Hotel is nothing special, but a good value for those on a budget.

"Upon check in staff rude. Had paid for a kitchenette room but were informed upon check-in that were no double beds in these rooms. Probably should have been notified sooner that our request could not be fulfilled. Forced to switch to a regular room, not with a view nor any compensation for this down grade and inconvenience. We were charged the same room rate because the rooom with kitchenette was prepaid. Be very careful, they sometimes are not able to accommodate and it appears to work in the hotels favour not to do so. Rooms clean, beds are terrible, bathrooms very small. Elevators not working properly. Location however was good, walking distance to the beach. The location was really good and the weather made up for a lot of the inconvenience. Be careful of the staff at the desk, they will not offer any information or assistance unless you ask. Unless you ask the question they will not offer anything extra or welcoming for your stay." - Carol from Calgary, Alberta

"Overall my stay for the week-end was great. When I lost my camera and had to come back to the hotel to check I left it in the room after being gone for only 1-hour (6pm - 7pm), the desk person was very rude at letting me check. He said the room was already cleaned - but with my insistance he let me check the room. The room was exactly as we left it, not cleaned at all. Other than this night person (a young kid -wished I got the name) - All else was great" - Paulette from Pinole, California

"There were four of us who stayed at this resort for four days last September (2006). From the time we arrived until the time we vacated I can only say that the staff were always there to assist and very heapfull. The rooms represented value for money offering good facilities within the room eg safe, tv, coffee (need to add tea) travel information and much more. The steak house under the front of the resort always provided a value for money steaks and friendly service. We are returning to Hawaii in 2007 and will most likley stay at this resort again given the value for money package they offer." - Bob, from Canberra, Australia
