"We brought our 25 ft Winnebago to camp at New Brighton Beach recently. We liked the campground because it was close to town, yet gave us a feeling of being deep in a rural area with lots of big coastal redwood and pine trees offering shade and a mountain feeling. It was really quite nice. The campground sits on a plateau with the beach about 100 steps below. This is a popular beach and had a fair amount of day use people. We spent the bulk of the days just hanging at the beach and evenings camping in the woods 100 steps up the hill. The campground had pads for RVs and a ringed fire area but no water or electric. Water was available out of a central outlet. We had fun and enjoyed it however, we had to reserve months in advance to get the weekend reservation." - George from San Jose, California
