Here's Our Featured Mira Vista Clothing Optional Resort Review:

From: Camilla and Bill of Arizona
Greetings All, Everything about Mira Vista, which means "Beautiful View" in Spanish, lives up to that name. Watching the sun set over nearby mountains and seeing the soft glow of the moon on adjacent Safford Peak was both inspiring and soothing. Mira Vista not only feels and looks like a home run, it's a home run with the bases loaded! Located only minutes off I-10, in Marana, Arizona, Mira Vista is as easy to reach as it could be while still being away from the hustle and bustle of nearby Tucson.

One of the things that makes Mira Vista unique among Nature Nude venues is that its owned by a team of experienced nudist park owners; Dave and Helen Landman (Dave was the one who "found" the property), owners of DeAnza Springs in Jacumba, California, which, with more than 500 acres is one of the largest parks in the country; Suzanne and Wayne Schell, owners of Laguna del Sol in Wilton, California, one of the most luxurious nude resorts in the US; and Becky and Joe Lettelleir, former owners of Paradise Valley in Dawsonville, Georgia and Paradise Lakes in Land O Lakes, Florida, the club with the most members of any in the world. Another unique feature is that Mira Vista and all the other resorts named above will offer an Ultimate Membership to full members. The Ultimate Membership entitles the holder to up to 45 days at each of the other resorts.

The pool area has many comfortable chaise lounges, some in the sun and some in partial shade, but it also has a huge shaded cabana for those wishing to be outside but not in the sun. A lovely waterfall flows and lulls poolside loungers to sleep. At night, lights make the whole area a fantasy land. There is free ice water. Showers and toilets just off to the side. The hot tub is in a huge stone arched structure entwined with plants. Its well shaded but at night, enough moonlight and starlight come in to make it a special experience. The temperature is just perfect for those hot days -- refreshing, but not too warm. The temperature is also adjusted according to the season of the year, with it being warmer in winter and cooler in summer, part of the fine tuning for guest comfort that Mira Vista is all about. Natural desert plants, including dozens of giant saguaro cacti are all over the grounds at Mira Vista, adding to the southwest ambiance. A new conversation pool and a volleyball pool have been added.

There is plenty of parking, including for large RVs, but there is space for only a limited number them, so be sure to call ahead if youre planning on sleeping in your rig. There are several 30 amp water and electric hookups and one dry site. There are no sewer hookups but there is a dump station. Also many local truck stops, including Flying J at I-10 Exit 208, have free dump stations and water, along with propane and discounted fuel for Flying J members. Because vegetative and topographical screening makes Mira Vista its own private island, even though its very close to the city, one has the feeling of being just far enough out in the country.

One of the most impressive things about Mira Vista is the restaurant, currently open Thursday through Monday for three meals daily. The food and service rate as the best of the best of any naturist park. Chef Gerard Convie serves up an eclectic variety of perfectly prepared and warmly served dishes. All windows from the restaurant also afford a wonderful view of the mountains and surrounding countryside.

Nude hiking opportunities abound outside of Marana and Tucson. There are several primitive nude friendly hot springs not far away, as well as commercial and dreamy Potters Aztec Baths, basic Essence Of Tranquility, and super clean Kachina Mineral Baths. Not far over the border into New Mexico is Faywood Hot Springs with two clothing optional soaking and sunning areas, as well as camping, lodging, and massage. Even more nude friendly is El Dorado Hot Springs in Tonopah with a separate nude only community area, as well as lodging, camping, and therapeutic massage. Shangri La Nudist Park offering full RV and resort services is conveniently located only 2.5 hours away from Mira Vista, 35 miles north of Phoenix in New River. Mexico is only one hour south of Mira Vista. Other nearby attractions include the Air Museum, Karchner Caverns, Kitt Peak Observatoy, the Sonoran Desert Museum, Organpipe National Monument, Saguaro National Park, and more. Inquire for further information. Stay tuned for news on planned condos and an RV park. Mira Vista is going nowhere but up! " - Camilla and Bill from Arizona

Directions:
From the I-10 freeway, take Exit 246 and go west on North Cortaro Road or Exit 248 on West Ina Road to North Wade Road.  Turn Right on Wade Road for 0.4 mile and arrive at 7501 North Wade Road, which will be on your left.

"This is the 4th clothing optional resort I have ever been to and by far the best!!!! Of course they are all different in their own ways, but Mira Vista is such a great place. I am on my 2nd year of membership there now and my wife is on her 3rd. We love the place and get out there almost every weekend and a few special occassions. The staff is so awesome, always willing to jump in and do what it takes to make your visit great. Food, "Wow"!!!! The chefs do an awesome job of preparing food that is not only appealing, but tastes great and has very generous portions. Pools; now that the new ones have been built, you just cant keep me away from the water volleyball. The new "club" bar is a great place to get a cool beverage or hang out and watch some sports on tv while chatting with friends. On some weekends, we have our very own "DJ" play some music for dancing even had a live band recently. They have a wonderful gym to use, game room with pool table and ping pong. Its a great place to relax, hang out with friends, get away and get some sunshine." - Chris from the Arizona

"This is a beautiful resort in the Tucson desert. The natural beauty of all the cactus, trees, and other desert flowers is truly spectacular. The resort itself is also very beautiful. The buildings are very well maintained. The new lounge area is really nice. The pool area has 3 pools and 1 jacuzzi hot tub. There are lots of nice quality lounge chairs. There is plenty of space if you want sun or plenty of space if you want shade. The guests/members of the resort are genuine, friendly people. The employees of the resort are very nice and attentive. Mira Vista is a great place!" - Laurel from the USA

"We are members and live in the area. We try to go as often as possible both on the weekdays and weekends. The staff are exceptional and will go out of their way to accomodate even the special little things. The other members are fun to be with and we have made some very lasting friendships. We are almost like family and love to learn about visitors to our area." - Margaret from Arizona
