"We were newbies who went for the day. Much trepidation at first but the staff was friendly and made us comfortable. We decided to eat at the restaurant and then go to the big pool where everyone was hanging out. Figured to just jump right into the fire as it were. Couldn't have been a better choice. We sat by very fun, normal people and swam with the crowd in the pool areas. Had a cocktail and talked to some folks who were regulars. We felt welcomed. It being our first time there, we were a bit nervous about getting naked right away, but we did it and never looked back. The fog seemed to disapate in our minds as we blended in with the others. At first I was self-conscience and feeling less than, but after an hour or so, I didn't think about it again we felt like we were HOME. We a going to come back and take advantage of more of their amenities. Probably will stay longer too. We feel we need to connect to more people and build a rapport with some of them. The naked thing is not so much an issue now. There will always be someone more tan, more skinny, more fat, more white, more soft, more loud,.....we feel we can blend in at this point. Hooray for this place. We are home and digging it....see you all soon." - Jeffrey from California

"Over the years it has become more "clothing" than "optional". The dog owners think that the guest campsites are their private potties for their pets. The restaurant took over an hour to get a BLT with only 5 other guests there. Otherwise a really beautiful place. Really nice office staff." - John from California

"We love visiting Laguna del sol. The resort is beautiful The grounds are always so well groomed. The because the staff is amazing. They always have a smile and a warm welcome for us each time we visit. Each time we visit they make us feel like us are their most important guests, although I suspect that they make all of the visitors feel that same warm welcome. The office staff is so welcoming! There is an very nice gentleman who apparently works on the grounds, but also lives at the resort. We have had to call on Jay late at night on several occassions. Once for a broken water pipe (which was our fault) and once to capture a rattle snake that had climbed under our fifth wheel. No matter how late at night, Jay always greets us with a smile and a "No Problem" attitude. He is quit the great Rattle Snake catcher, by the way! It is the warm friendly personnel that keeps us coming to Laguna del sol. Laguna is definately our favorite resort and we have traveled to quit a few." - Mike from Florida

"This was our first experience at a clothing optional resort. We were very nervous at first. However, the beautiful and peaceful grounds soon relaxed us. As we walked around we found all the guests to be polite and friendly and welcoming. We camped on the NE side of the lake at the end of the newer hotel. Bathrooms were very close here and incredibly clean! We spent most of our time at the indoor pool at the hotel and met some really friendly people there. The water in the pool is non-chlorinated and very easy on the skin. We had a couple of meals in the restaurant and I have to say the wait staff are the greatest. They are very accommodating and friendly. Kristyn is the best! The only downsides I could find are the following: when I parked my trailer it was a little over the boundary. The grounds keeper was a little gruff in pointing it out to me. I talked to him for a few more minutes and he turned out to be a really nice guy but he could probably use a few classes at charm school. Also the front desk staff seemed to almost be suspicious in the way they treated us initially. However, after I had shed my clothes and went back to the office to ask a few more questions they were much more friendly. They are sticklers for following rules here but I won't list that as a negative. It means that I'm not the only one following the rules. It makes for a comfortable safe environment for everyone. My wife was initially very apprehensive about going, but after two days she saw how safe the environment really is and was able to walk all over the park by herself fully nude and with no worries at all. Pros: Beautiful lake HAMMOCKS! On a scale of 1 to 10 the pools are 11. Grounds are meticulously maintained. Quietest campground Ive ever been to. Friendliest campground I've ever been to. Most relaxing experience of my life! Cons: Too many people know about this gem and it gets crowded on weekends!" - "S." from California

"Our favorite resort - People are always friendly - Have met lots of nice people there. Now starting to see more younger adults which is good. Facilites always clean. The BYOB option is nice. The poolside drink service is very cool and the weekend BBQs poolside are also convenient and good. The chairs by the main pool are all filled early on the weekends so get there early. The walk to the river is easy, scenic and adds to the experience. We love this place and go as often as we can. The place is mostly all couples unlike some other resorts with lots of single men. The only consistent negative is a resident old lady who lives across from the main pool and has taken it upon herself to be a self appointed policeman. Have spoken to a few others who have had problems with her. Just ignore her and everything else will be GREAT. See you there." - 49er fan from California

"I have to tell you that this was our first visit to LDS. We have been to other clothing optional resorts in the past but this is our new favorite. We have friends in the valley area who rave about LDS and talked us into this trip...thank you Maggie and Jose !!!! We camped right on the lake and it was like heaven. Our first morning we woke and went for a walk around the water and saw a good size lake turtle which I enjoyed because I have a belt buckle with a real turtle on it. The pool was always being cleaned and the restaurant did a wonderful job with our meals. We normally keep to ourselves, but we did go to one of the scheduled dances and met a nice couple from Vacaville who we have spoken with and plan to camp with soon. He's a truck driver and shes an arc welder of all things!!! Anyway, thank you for the most unforgettable time ever!!! We cant wait to vist again. I said hello to the owner ( Suzanne ) one morning but I don't think she heard me..but she seemed nice though." - Terry from Massachusetts

"Laguna del Sol is the perfect get away for us. We camp right on Lake Archie. We bring all our own food and drinks and keep to ourself on the quiet side of the lake. We get our exercise by walking around the lake and to the river and then through the residents area to see the new changes that have been made. We enjoy the pool next to the tennis courts, there is less noise and traffic. The 2 best changes made was moving the volleyball pool next to the restraunt, it was to noisy in the indoor pool and enforcing the smoking rules at the club. Our only bad expierence was the biker ball dance at the bar and lounge, we felt it to be more of a fetish ball than biker theme dance. We will try another theme dance, for they have several a year. If it is the same, we will learn that we will not attend the dance. More quiet time in the jacuzzi for us. (To resort owners) Wayne and Suzanne, THANK-YOU for everything, we are very glad and happy we met you, your resort is wonderful and as long as you are there, we will return to enjoy your paradise." - Darren from California

"I've been camping for years and this is the cleanest campground yet. The restrooms and pool area are sparkling clean. There seems to be someone cleaning somewhere all day long. "Laguna is absolutely wonderful. We like to walk around the lake and explore the hiking trails. We also enjoy walking through the neighborhoods to see what the residents are up to. The beauty and serenity of the place add to the welcoming and friendly attitude of the people. The "regulars" make you feel right at home and there are always new people to meet. Since our first visit a year ago, all we talk about is going back again and again." - Mike from California

"We have only been to two nudist resorts, but this place is clearly top of the line. Facilities and amentities are top notch, as are the staff and the other guests and park residents. Truly an outstanding resort, an outstanding organization and outstanding staff, for any type of resort, not just for a nudist resort! We are so fortunate to live within a hour of LdS, so we can enjoy it on a regular basis...who knows we might even get brave enough to go on a weekend pretty soon." - Jay from California

"We have been going there for the last five years. This place is consistantly clean and well kept. The owner seems to always do some sort of improvement every year, so it is always getting better. The people that attend are very friendly, polite and respectful. We have gone there over twenty times and have never seen a fight or any type of disorderly conduct. This would include the bar when there are dances, with large amount of people having a great time. Children for the most part hang out at a separate pool area, and do not usually play in the main pool area. The web site has good photos, but we feel they still do not do the place justice. The overall fun ambience is not captured in the picture, probably because they do not show a lot of candid pics, in order to respect your privacy. The only complaint is one of the bathrooms near laundomat is always sweltering hot, they need to cool it." - Bruce & Sherrie from California
