"While there were a lot of choices for food, most of the dishes were of very poor quality. The room had lower than usual amenities and when there were problems. It took 3 calls and 6 hours to get someone up to fix the problems. No entertainment was provided at this hotel at all during our stay. Service was really poor in the restaurants. We had to flag down a server to get anything and very seldom did they come to the table to see if we needed anything. The only good thing about our stay was the price, but we had to attend a very pushy 2 hour+ time-share. " - Danny from Atlanta, Georgia

"The Krystal Cancun was very nice. All of the employees were great. The food was good and the beach was great.
My problem is with the vacation club people. In order to cut our cost we sat through a couple of hours with them. WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY CREDIT CARD INFORMATION!!!!!! They will put through a large charge that you did not agree to and now you have to take the rest of your vacation plus extra time once you are home to get your money back. Just be careful and have a great time." - Greg from Kansas City, Missouri

"The following is my personal belief and experience with Krystal Hotel Vacation Club in Cancun, Mexcio. Be aware of vacation club scams while on vacation! Of course, you are there to have fun, relax, tour and so Krystal has vacation specialists right at the airport to get you signed-up for a Krystal Vacation Club presentation. I believe they count on getting you to their presentation the first day of your vacation so that you don't have time to read the fine print. You are given discounted tickets to major tourist attractions and a free breakfast. Krystal will tell you the Vacation Club is a GREAT INVESTMENT and that you will receive your money back by having your unit "rented out" by the broker they recommend. The fact is, that the broker that Krystal recommends wants $665.00 from you before they do anything at all for you. We did not find out about this additional money until after we signed the sales agreement with Krystal. In fact, it was 14 days after we signed up with Krystal and this additional cost was not mentioned at all during the presentation. When I called the recommended broker recommended by Krystal Vacation Club pretending to be a "potential renter", the broker didn't even mention renting from a Krystal Vacation Club owner. The broker also e-mailed me a price of a studio and it was NOT the rental price of a Vacation Club Owner. It was much more. I still have the e-mail for proof. If the broker does talk to someone that might rent your unit out, YOU will be responsible to do most of the work. There is a delay for the "potential rental" to find out if they are capable of renting your unit. YOU are responsible to call Krystal to ask if there is an opening, then YOU have to call the "potential renter back" to let them know and then YOU need to call Krystal and Regal back to say that you have a guest that will be renting your unit out. And this broker only books from a Friday to a Friday. What reasonable person would want to wait around while these phone calls are going back and forth, when they could just call up the hotel they want and book directly? In fact, when I called the broker pretending to be a "potential renter" they advised me to call Krystal Hotel directly because they always have promotions and I will probably save money by doing so. They actually discouraged me and asked me why and how I even had their phone number!!!!
LOOK AT ALL the websites and all the upset people that have signed up with Krystal Vacation Club. We wish that we had. There is a clause in the Krystal Sales Vacation Club Agreement that even says "ANY STATEMENTS WHETHER VERBAL OR WRITTEN WHICH ARE NOT CONTAINED IN THE OFFICIAL DOCUMENTATION PROVIDED TO THE MEMBER AND SIGNED BY THE CLUB REPRESENTATIVE WILL BE HELD INVALID IN CASE OF DISPUTE." And why do they have this clause???? Its because they will say and write down anything to convince you to sign. It just won't be included in the agreement and they can get away with it because of this clause. They switched paperwork on us. The representative guaranteed that we would make money and the money owed to Krystal for the vacation club would be paid off in 6 months because of this. We were given an ex-football player as a Krystal Vacation Club representative, who wrote "guaranteed" and "his signature" on one document with the dollar amounts we would receive from our "rental studio" at Krystal. But when we looked through the paperwork that same evening, it had been switched to one WITHOUT his guarantee or signature by the dollar amounts. They are clever and experienced at making it sound like you're a fool if you pass up this opportunity but they leave out very sufficient information. They will tell you that they never have problems renting units out because the Convention Center is just across from them and they're always booked up by businessmen. But don't believe that its YOUR VACATION UNIT that is booked up in advance. They do not help you with this. Maybe Krystal has their units booked up, but ITS NOT YOUR UNIT through the Vacation Club that is booked. We went back the very next morning after we signed the contract and a different representative said we could not cancel or we would loose all our money because we had bought an "existing contract" from someone who had "upgraded." We went back again on the 4th day and talked to our first representative, the ex-fooball player that we signed with. He gave us back the original signed agreement and said it was cancelled. We BELIEVED HIM AND WE SHOULD NOT HAVE. When we went again on the 8th day the ex-football player (Krystal Vacation Representative) came down to see us as we had breakfast. He had found out that we had tried to cancel our membership the day after we signed, when he was off. He seemed very concerned and wanted us to write something down about it for him. Since we thought he had helped us and we thought we were cancelled, I wrote down exactly what he DICTATED to me. He read it and DICTATED even more to write down. Although, it was strange, I did so. He had me write down that we had only asked general questions from the 2nd representative. But he didn't want us to write anything about going there to cancel. Since we thought we were okay and were cancelled at that time, and he was still giving us the free 2nd breakfast he had promised us when we signed up, I wrote what he dictated. As I said before, Krystals broker, Regal Rental and Sales called us 14 days afterwards and told us we were still in the vacation club and they needed $665.00 from us so they could "rent out our Krystal Vacation Club studio unit." Krystal lied about the Bank of America too. If you read the many stories from victims of Krystal, it seems like the representatives tell different rates to different potential Vacation Club Owners, from a O% interest rate to what they told us, a 3% interest on the Bank of America Visa loan. We were told that since Krystal does so much business with the Bank of America the bank knows they will get their money back FAST from our "rental units" so they give us special interest rates. THE INTEREST RATE(s) KRYSTAL TELLS YOU ABOUT BANK OF AMERICA IS A LIE TOO. There is NO SPECIAL INTEREST RATE FROM BANK OF AMERICA BECAUSE OF THEIR BUSINESS WITH KRSYTAL!!! Krystal does do a lot of business with Bank of America but they do not have special interest rates.
PLEASE INVESTIGATE MORE BEFORE SIGNING UP WITH KRYSTAL VACATION CLUB IN CANCUN, MEXICO. READ THE MANY, MANY, MANY WEBSTIES ON THE INTERNET. Just go to Google or Yahoo and type in KRYSTAL FRAUD OR KRYSTAL SCAM. There are many more sites on Krystal besides these and there are literally PAGES of them! BE AWARE!!!!! If Krystal Vacation Club is such a great deal, why are there so many unhappy people? Its not like I'm the only person that is making negative comments about them. LOOK AT THEIR HISTORY!! READ WHAT OTHERS HAVE EXPERIENCED and what they are going through now. You only have 5 days to cancel and then you're out of luck. Krystal of course, does not mention this at the presentation either, although it is in the fine print. We went back the day after we signed the agreement, but the representative that signed us was off. So a 2nd sales representative lied when he said we couldn't cancel. The ex-football player representative (the one we signed with) lied when he said we were cancelled when he gave us back the original sales agreement on the 4th day. He was probably just wanted to get rid of us to work on another potential "sucker" he had waiting. Remember, if it sounds too good to be true, it is!!!!! As I said before, this is my personal belief and my personal experience, but PLEASE LOOK AT OTHER PERSONAL EXPERIENCES AND BELIEFS OF OTHERS - before you sign. If you go to the presentation, KEEP IN MIND THE CLAUSE THEY HAVE THAT ANYTHING THEY WRITE OR SAY DURING THE PRESENTATION IS INVALID, UNLESS IT'S WRITTEN IN THE OFFICIAL AGREEMENT. Have a good vacation and do not be gulliable." - Faye from Seattle, Wash
