The Islander on the Beach is a low-rise Plantation Style Resort. The 200 rooms all have air-conditioning. The resort has a pool, bar and restaurant. The Islander on the Beach is one of the better budget style accommodations on Kauai. A recent renovation has made this a really nice value. The hotel is situated on Coconut beach which can get windy at times. The Islander on the Beach is a very poplular budget hotel and has a loyal following of budget minded travelers.

Traveler Resort Review: Reviewed by: Lupe From: Los Angeles, CA Resort: Islander on the Beach Kauai Trip Date: June, 2007 Here is Lupe's Islander on the Beach Kauai Review Cumulative Rating: Pool Area: Dining at the resort: Beach Area: Sleeping Room: Friendly Staff: Remarks: "I absolutely love...love...love...love..love...love kauai islander on the beach!  I have stayed here over 6 times and it is always an excellent experiece!  The renovation on the rooms are awesome! you feel like you are at a REALLY expensive hotel!  They now have the mini fridge, sink and microwave (at least in the room that i stayed in.  Staff is always friendly!  I was there alone on a business trip and always felt safe!  The beach can be a bit rough at times, but its not the hotels fault!  And it is very close to the airport Kapaa, Hanelei and anywhere you want to go. Make sure you are a light packer, because the only downside is that there are no elevators (it is only 3 floors, so it is not a big deal).  but other than that.... I LOVE IT!
