Hapuna Beach
On the kohala coast north of Kona . Rated one of the best beaches on Hawaii.
Take Route 19 north 30.9 miles. Left at Hapuna sign, then .6 miles to the parking lot.
Kahalu'u Beach Park
Popular beach south of Kona. Palm lined beach is also great snorkeling.
South on Ali'i Drive, 5.5 miles.
Honokahau Harbor
A real nice beach to lay out and catch the rays. Just north of Kona and south of the airport. At the Kona Harbor. Keep right around the marina and parking area to the gate at west end. A short walk to the beach.
Kekaha Kai Beach Park
Directions - Route 19 north 9.3 miles to sign on left, then 1.7 miles to Park.
Mahukona Beach Park
Not a sand beach, but great snorkeling. Directions - Route 19 north to left on Route 270, then 8.7 miles to left at Mahukona sign, then .5 miles to Park.
Spencer Beach Park
Route 19 north to the left at junction of Route 270, then .2 miles to left at Spencer Beach sign, then to beach.
Waikoloa Beach Park
A postcard picture perfect beach. Palm tree lined, and good swimming and snorkeling. At the Marriott Waikoloa Beach Hotel.
