The Gran Melia Cancun is exquisite and dazzling. It is probably one of the most beautiful hotels in Cancun with five adjoining pyramids, set among acres of manicured gardens. It's glass triangular dome covering a tropical atrium highlights the Mayan style architecture. The Gran Melia Cancun situated on a beautiful white sand beach. If you like swimming, the Gran Melia Cancun has five acres of a free-form endless pool that flows horizontally with the large white sand beach. The hotel also has a 9 hole golf course. The Gran Melia Cancun is a great choice for 5 star deluxe Cancun Resort Hotel.

"The hotel, the staff, our room, the beach, everything was great. Our conceirge went out of her way to ensure we had a great experience. The only things that did not meet my expectation was the variety of restaurants and the lack of activities. At other resorts we have visited they had dance lessons, music, information on culture ect. "Well, what can I say. We went down to Cancun for the first time in 2005 and had a wonderful time. We were a party of 8. Our room was a deluxe suite which I found to be a little outdated but the ambiance of the hotel is absolutely gorgeous.... However after taking a scuba trip I found my husband and mother buzzed up poolside laughing with joy how they just purchased Time-share on the Gran Melia property. I was overwhelmed but shared in the excitement as well. We have since visited the property each year to follow and noticed the hotel was not being kept up. The pool had several tiles missing on the bottom of the pool which led to my brother in the hospital with stitches. The hotel did little to assist or help with the situation.. By the way, there is no doctor on the property. The staff played dumb with us the whole "me no englass" and the 3 rooms that we all had seemed to have air-conditioning and drainage problems. Taking a shower after a long day at the beach was no picnic. We are going back in 9 days and are hoping the property has been addressed of these issues.
