"Worst value in RV parks we have been our rv cross country trip to Alaska since 6-1-11. This park has failed in service and committment. Did not have pull through site as per reservation made 3-9-11. I was told by manager, park did not guarrantee site. Proved untrue they did reserve pull throughs for carvans. We have only had 1-1/2 TV channnels advertised. We have only had 3 days of wifi service. Over stated site sizes approximately 20 by 35 for a 33 RV with tow vechile, larger RV's nose are in street. We have been paying an average of $31.00 per night or less across lower 48, BC and Yukon and other Alaskan Parks. Here we pay $42.00 plus." - John from Lenhartsville, Pennsylvania

"This place has a great website, too bad it must be for another campground. I asked and paid for full hook-up. Full hook-up must mean you plug into your neighbors water connection because I had to run a hose 30 to another lot. When I asked the staff about it they just looked at me and had absolutely no response, nor did they offer any alternatives. The wifi connection is intermittent at best. If you are looking for a quiet place to enjoy your evening, I would not recommend coming here as there are numerous children riding through the parking lot and running around the campers after the 10:00 p.m. "quiet time". Overall this was an overpriced miserable rv experience." - Jimmy from New London, Connecticut

"Great place to call home base while passing thru Anchorage. We stay twice, once on the way down to Homer and once on way back, each time 3 nights. Campground is clean, safe and welcomes pets. Staff was friendly and always helpful. There is local entertainment in the park almost every night." - Amy from Burbank, Calif

"The Golden Nugget RV Park was a great place for my family when they came to visit. The bathrooms were very modern and very clean. I loved all the well maintained flowers and the staff was very helpful. My family travels all over the states and stay at many rv parks, they said this one was the best ever. I didn't stay at the rv park but I did visit my family while they were there. I was treated like a vip guest, I liked that. It's no wonder so many people like this rv park. The entertainment WOW! They had all kinds of entertainment from brass bands to magic shows. I was impressed." - Sam from Anchorage, Alaska

"Stayed here for 8 days in June 2009. Nice camp ground pretty easy to find, quiet at night, back in sites were a little tight--width and length. We had a 34 foot 5th wheel. They had entertainment 6 nights -- live band -- and free dinner at 7:00 PM each day. Different food each evening. Overall a nice campground and I would stay there again. We did attend the Sourdough Mining Co in Anchorage for lunch and it was quite expensive and the food was poor. We camped here in a Fifth Wheel." - Kevyn from Salem, Oregon
