El Cid Mazatlan Castilla Beach Hotel

The El Cid Mazatlan Castilla Beach Hotel was one of the original deluxe hotels in Mazatlan. They have since added 3 other hotels in the Mazatlan Area to create the El Cid Mega Resort. The El Cid Mazatlan Castilla Beach Tower was the second hotel in the El Cid Mega Resort and is a 17 story hotel build in 1982. It was last re-furbished in 2005. Even though this hotel is a high-rise property, it still has the feeling of a Mexican resort hotel. The El Cid is right in the center of the Mazatlan Hotel Zone and within walking distance of the main shopping area and also the famous Mazatlan Malecon. The hotel is across the street from the 27-hole El Cid Golf Course. The hotel also offers guests access to the complete fitness center located at the golf course.

Remarks:
"Went there in mid/late April after spring break and easter holiday crowds. Got the all-inclusive which includes the meals. Definitely we will go back. The inner hotel and pool area were luxury and it is right on beach, as little as 30ft from water depending on tide. Great sunset views from the pool restaurant and also the three islands. There are boat and fishing tours booked right from the hotel, also has golf and tennis. The ocean was great, waves great for boogie boarding and they rent boogie boards right next door. You can't hear the street from the rooms, only the waves. The lunch restaurant is open 12-5p and looks out on the beach. Lot's of food selection all the way from sea food to burgers. The dinner and breakfast restaurant also had tons of selection, a buffet." - Jerry from Boulder, Colorado
