The El Cid Mazatlan was one of the original deluxe hotels in Mazatlan. They have since added 3 other hotels in the Mazatlan Area to create the El Cid Mega Resort. The El Cid Castilla Beach Tower was the second hotel in the El Cid Mega Resort. The El Cid Castilla Beach is a 17 story hotel build in 1982. It was last re-furbished in 2005. Even though this hotel is a high-rise property, it still has the feeling of a Mexican resort hotel. The El Cid is right in the center of the Mazatlan Hotel Zone and within walking distance of the main shopping area and also the famous Mazatlan Malecon. The hotel is across the street from the 27-hole El Cid Golf Course. The hotel also offers guests access to the complete fitness center located at the golf course.
