"I've been visiting DeAnza Springs on a monthly basis for over three years, driving from Arizona. This place could be much better than it is, although its pretty darn good just the same. The problem is typical of nudist places where you have a mix of permanent residents and weekenders. The residents think of the facilities as their own, and visitors are somewhat intruders. Most of the grounds keeping and maintenance is performed by low-income residents working to cover the rent, so things get done but not to a high standard. Members are responsible for their rented spaces but management seems reluctant to enforce the rules with RV skirting, removal of clutter, landscaping, etc. The owners have been promising paved roads for over 5 years and still nothing. So expect to get covered with dust and dirt when the locals fly by on their golf carts. The desert temps vary greatly each day; I've experienced 60 degree temperature changes in one day. The Corrizo Gorge funnels some very strong winds through parts of the grounds, so be careful with camping items. Last, the camp is three miles north of the US Mexico Border and the adjacent train tracks help bring in coyotes and illegals who come into the camp looking for food and water. Oh, and don't go hiking on the tracks naked, you'll be arrested for trespassing!" - Willy from Arizona

"Wonderful rustic resort set in 500acres of high dessert. Beyond the resort are the open lands of the Anza Borrego Desert State Park. This is a great place to hike and explore the desert. You can easily hike nude all day in the desert warmth and sunshine, without being disturbed by others. This provides a wonderful feeling of being at one with nature. The people in the resort itself are fun and friendly. We have made good friends there. At special weekends there are activities organized. These can be great fun, especially the Naked Olympics in the Fall. Costs are reasonable." - Graham from California
