"This was our first time to the D.R. Feb 2011 of this year. We usually go to Mexico. Thought we would try elsewhere. We have always had great experience in Mexico. We had friends that have been to the D.R. and loved it. My disapointment first in the resort itself was the traveler's Diareah was wide spread. My son and my husband were ill with it. I had a mild case, but was taking probotics everyday. My son had to go to the doctor once we got home to be treated. Others informed us while we were there that they too had it and went to the infirmary to be seen by the doctor there and was charged over $100. US dollars for it. So we chose to suffer through with Pepto and Imodium to help us through it. I am sorry if people are ill because of being at your resort. I think Club Med has a social responsibilty to be accountable. In the US there are health codes and law suits for this. We were very careful not to drink the tap water unless in the restaurants. You serve unsafe water and we were careful as to what we ate too. So even though your resort is beautiful our being ill ruined our vacation. We never had this happen in Mexico. I don't know if it is just a Club Med thing or what. Oh and for a family resort the toplessness was very disrespectful and tasteless and allowing the smoklng everywhere was just obnoxious and gross. I wish our experience would have been better than this. Also things were very over-priced a post card just a single card was $2.00 US dollars. Really? A cab ride into town was $70.US dollas. Yikes!! Highway robbery I say. Mexico is so less expensive. Things were way more than they are in the U.S. Crazy!" - Jen from Detroit, Michigan

"This resort is geared to Europeans...who do not like A/C. The room A/C systems do not go below 74 deg F. This is not comfortable to sleep in after a day at the beach. I did not get a good nights sleep in a week and I do not suffer from any sleep disorders normally. Every American I talked to said they were uncomfortable in the their rooms as well. I have stayed at other resorts and high end hotels and have never seen anything like this. Just beware...if you like to sleep with A/C in hot weather you will not be comfortable at club Med. For the money they charge proper A/C should come with it." - Jon from New York City, N.Y
