Here's our Aventura Spa Palace Resort Review

The Aventura Spa Palace is located on 85 ocean-front acres near Playa del Carmen on the Mayan Riviera. The Aventura Spa Palace is and all-Inclusive Resort Hotel and was created when Palace Resorts combined the Aventura Palace and the Spa Palace to form one adults-only mega resort (18+ years). The Aventura Spa Palace Resort offers something for everyone. There are two sides to the resort, the Spa Palace side and the Aventura Palace side. The Spa Palace side is more relaxed & the Aventura Palace side more upbeat. The Aventura Spa Palace is a sophisticated resort offering the ultimate all-inclusive luxury Playa del Carmen spa experience.

The beach at the Aventura Spa Palace is man-made. It is a private, 200-yard beach-cove that offers guests the ability to enjoy without constantly being harrased from vendors selling tourist items.

Facilities:
777 Deluxe Bunaglows, A/C, 2 doubles or 1 king bed, 2 Pools, 7 Restaurants, 2 Swim-Up Bars, Adults-Only Jacuzzi, Poolside Chaise Lounge and towell service, Poolside Grill, Complete Day Spa, Fullly Equipped Fitness Center, Yoga Hut, 100ft Climbing Tower, Activities program, 3 Tennis Courts. Watersports, Golf nearby.

"The resort is very beautiful - I have been there twice in 2012. Two problems which occurred on both visits:

1) Check-in is alway problematic because they have wrong type of room or bed for you. Both times it took close to 6 hours to get room and they request you to come back in an hour 3 - 4 times.

2) Eating dinner at 7 is always a problem unless you are a time share member or a honeymooner. They don't take reservations, and you either show up for dinner at 5 or 9 - in between these times, even though there are plenty of empty tables (kept open for time-share members or honeymooners) they tell you to come back in two hours. If you go at 9 - then you also miss the show.

I don't like paying full price for a vacation and being treated like a second class guest."

"My wife and I haven't been to Aventura Spa Palace since it became two resorts in one. Our first trip to a Palace Resort in 2008 was the Aventura Palace (entirely Adult Only), and it was GREAT and also the reason we became Palace members. We have since visited other Palace Resorts having stayed at the Moon Palace in Cancun and the Hard Rock Palace in Punta Cana. Both are very nice with Punta Cana offering the best beach anywhere. However we are returning to Aventura for the third time with an upgrade to a Presidential Suite. This is the BEST Palace as well as the BEST resort weve ever been to. I can't say enough about the service and the overall maintenance of the property. The staff has been excellent and helpful in every way. I hope and expect it hasn't changed since our last visit in 2009. The spa service can't be beat. I enjoyed a steam and a sauna followed by a Jacuzzi everyday with one or two spa treatments during the week. The food is fabulous and our favorite restaurant is the romantic Italian Restaurant with the outside seating. The pools are great and the man-made beach is OK but nothing beats the ocean surf. The food at poolside can use some improvement. We are very much looking forward to another great vacation in January 2012 with my sister, my brother and his wife joining us." - Gene, from Lee Center, New York

"This resort was absolutely amazing! I travel a lot so I was skeptical when booking this because the pictures usually make the resort look much better than it really is. Not this one! In all honesty, the pictures dont give this place justice! It is so incredibly clean and beautiful. The staff is curteous, helpful, and ALWAYS waiting to serve you. The lagoon was so much fun to snorkle in (and its free!). We even saw a sting ray one day...A great plus to staying at not only this resort but ANY Palace resort was there is a bus that runs each day to take you from palace to palace and you get full benefits at each palace. We didnt take advantage of this because this resort was so perfect anyway! The entertainment was really good as well! One night we had a circus, there was fire dancing, and a casino night at the lagoon. The only downfall that we found within our stay was the ocean front rooms with the great view are for "members only" aka time share holders. So our room was on the North side on the very edge. It was a long walk wherever we went. But thats such a small complaint! Everything else was above and beyond any expectations we could've had!" - Amanda, from Trenton, Ohio
