Remarks:
"I stayed at the Aston Aloha Beach Hotel at Kapaa, Kauai, located adjacent to Lydgate Beach Park. I cannot recommend this run down facility. I had a ground floor ocean-view room that was basically very run down. The air-conditioning did not work and the only way to cool the room at night was to open the sliding door which took away any security the door provided. No ceiling fan. The glass door was difficult to slide and ultimately came off the track. The carpet was old and very dirty. The sink had significant rusted areas but was still functional. The local traffic in front of the hotel and in the Kapaa area was very heavy much of the time and made access to the hotel difficult.

There were a few good things: A friendly staff, nice ocean view, and the pool area was OK. The ocean and beach is fun too look at but swimming is not advised due to logs, rocks, and currents - except in the special shallow bulk headed area at Lydgate Park. I cannot recommend this facility."- Vern from Tacoma, Washington
